To be fair, ff 7 rebirth has a really good quality mode that you quickly get used to even if 30fps. Performance mode looked terrible on my 65 inch TV, as I usually choose performance in games.

It's on consoles and pc.
I played it on PS5 a bit with the 120hz enabled abd it's definitely quicker in cities and the fields.

Combat is quick for a turn based game. But there will be some grinding here abd there. Check some gameplay videos.

I have it on ps5 and pc and it plays as actually pretty well on PS5. The uncapped frame rates works best for the game then the newly added Max 30fps version.
The only town that gets the frame rates down between 25-35 ish is the first big city, but you won't be that much in it to be fair - I spent from 50 hours about 3 in the city and the rest exploring and the second main town which has better fps.

-on pc with my 3080 and 10700k CPU, the fps outside is better f...

Isn't the new lords of the fallen from 2023 that's being added to gamepass?

I reckon you will probably still be able to connect if it works the same as PS4/PS5 - just don't transfer the save file as well as it is the case with the PS4/PS5 trophies pop ups. I hope that's the case at least as it doesn't specifically mention the save file.

Ghost of tsushima was the first game where I transferred the save file from PS4 to PS5 and I wanted to go through the whole process again of achieving them...was so disappointed when I saw them pop in on...

My absolute favorite genre and there are do many great bangers out there. Other great modern RPGs if you ever feel in need to check would be dragon quest 11, persona 3-4-5, baldurs gate 3, the Witcher 3.

And then there are those more on less story telling but just as amazing as Zelda botw/totk and the soulslike games like dark souls, Elden ring, sekiro.

This was more if him answering to what the Ubisoft dev said about us consumers needing to get comfortable with not owning our games. At least that's what another article mentioned about the same paragraph.

I'm really enjoying it, and I liked most of them just not odyssey and origins. This reminds me so much of the Witcher 3 and the Vikings TV show. Eivor is a very likeable main character

true, I would love to have that feature.
xbox does it, alongside loads ef extra like how many times you've died, how many km's walked and so on.

switch has it too, but it's only updated every 5 hours of gameplay time, and the first 2-4 days, i don't know exactly how long, only then it starts updating. Which i find odd that they went this way, 3ds and wii u had a time stamp for each game by hours and minutes.

Forgot to reply about the remaster part.
Yes, usually that's what they go for. Monolith was just extra gracious to go the extra mile and make it much better than most remasters.

It's there between remaster and remake. And it's Hella great.

The additional thing is between 10-20 hours long.
Base game is far longer, when I played it on the Wii it took me 92 hours, but with loads of sidequests.

As for the assets. I agree, it does look like it's more. But that means they just copy pasted more assets into the area.

Some places it looks like they even changed it with brand new ones.

Only xenoblade had pretty environments before. The characters were just kind of mudd...

I'm playing on 4k TV, 55 inch and it looks good. Better than xc2. It's most of the time at 720p.
Sure on today's standards it's not much. But the game is massive, and the artstyle makes up for the lower resolution

The assets are up scaled in HD. The characters do have indeed a new model. Feels more like something in between remake and remaster for me.
But even the developers called it a remaster, not a remake, so there you have it.

this is more like how they make Final Fantasy X, then X-2 and so on.

It has the same characters or it's in the same world, with the events of the game before being in the second game.

Now this in the future might lead to bravely II second

Then bravely default III> bravely III second. And so on

i don't want to spoil, but they have done so in FF7 remake.
It was on the last mission. You could see the city just like that in the background.

yeah, here in the Uk as well, in the first few hours it was all gone, from simplygames to amazon, except GAME, though they were a tad more expensive with the delivery.
I do hope they will bring it on again.
