I couldn't believe this kind of arrogance and attitude actually extended to the customer support department... it makes no sense! It truly reminded me of Major Nelson and other representatives' missteps throughout the year with their comments like "are you an engineer?" Truly awful. Had to vent a bit, and despite that I made sure not to overexaggerate anything in the article.
Still raging about it a bit, but hey, I warned them that I would write this article. Hopefully something gets done to avoid future customers from having to deal with this! We'll be recording a podcast early next week to discuss this further and give more details. I'm honestly expecting a lot of people to not believe this story, but it's unfortunately true. I think I'd have trouble believing it myself. Their behavior is a far cry from what I expected it to be like. Their servic...
Hopefully this story gains traction and Microsoft gets exposed for this shoddy practice. Why would they say a power supply is an "accessory" when you need it to turn on the console anyway?
Yep, that's how they treat their customers.
As always, if you guys have questions, ask away on the site! Can't answer them here due to number of bubbles... but I'll be in the comments under the full article!
Definitely, it's good for boys, girls, and rice!
Thanks ABeastNamedTariq! We really appreciate that! :)
Trust me, when you get your hands on the new ones, the faults of the old ones will become more apparent and it'll be hard to go back!
If you prefer larger controllers, definitely! I wouldn't even call it an improvement or a refinement as much as a complete redesign. It barely even feels like a dualshock controller anymore, and it fit my hands perfectly.
They feel more precise and tighter, they are also smaller and more mobile. For these reasons, it's easier to aim for headshots, for example. As for the touchpad, it's halfway between a hard click and a soft click. It feels pretty good!
Another major plus for shooters, as I mention in the podcast, is that your fingers naturally land on the triggers now, as opposed to the bumpers like it was on PS3. It's a subtle change but it makes a huge difference.
Hey guys, feel free to join the discussion and ask some questions. We'll be happy to reply! Thanks :)
Sorry you feel that way, but that's what the descriptions are for! Honestly, both of them are very different. They have advantages and disadvantages. If you read the article, I did go into the details and outlined the strengths of each controller. I only gave the nod to both in certain categories, picking a winner in others.
It was a little jarring at first, but I got used to it and appreciated how much more precise the triggers feel.
59.99 is the MSRP, please ask your questions on the actual gamefocus website as I can't answer them all here.
You may be in for a surprise once you try this one! It doesn't feel all that familiar :)
If you guys have ANY question you'd like me to answer (I wrote the article), please ask away! I'll be in the comments. Obviously I can't really answer directly on here because of the bubbles limit, but I'll be in the comments under the article itself. Thanks! :)
The game did not support the rumble triggers, no word on the final version. Too bad, I would have loved to try that!
I did! It acts as a perk and it's awesome.
Unfortunately no, I have suspicions that the game was actually running on PC. The guide button was not functional, I did try it though. The "disable gamepad" feature in the options leads me to think it was indeed the PC version running on Xbox One specs.
This is all correct, however it only applies to the CONSOLE. And MS treats the power supply as an accessory. I'm not the only one who encountered this situation. There is even a thread covering this on the official xbox forums! http://forums.xbox.com/xbox...
Edit:Welp, I'm out of bubbles. I can reply on the site of the article itself, b...
