Yeah it cost 800 when it first came out it should be half that by now. But if you think about it the number may still have some validity since if they were manufacturing the PS3 like a normal computer for the first time instead of mass producing it on a large scale for years like they have its equivalent cost might still be around $800.
I know how you feel, I have disc 2 and 3 but I can't find 1. In between the 2 of us we have a full game though.
If any Final Fantasy deserves a remake it's FFVIII. That game had a lot of problems that overshadowed its potential. FFVII on the other hand is a nearly perfect game, who cares if Cloud is only 4 and a half polygons? Just pretend it's 1992 and then the graphics will look really good.
Yeah how many polygons does Cloud have right now? Like 20? It's so weird since Squall looks a thousand times better, especially if you increase the resolution which you can do if you use one of the Playstation 1 emulators.
We already knew they were liars. Now thanks to their admission we also know they are bad at making excuses. It's a good thing they don't work for a shoe magazine, sandals would always score higher since they don't need to be laced up. They wouldn't be able to tie the laces since sandals don't have laces and that would be unfair.
The generation after this one will have higher definition than real life. Kinda makes you think huh? jk.
Yes, but 10-15 years from now when you are long dead your children's children will be able to enjoy it when they're not driving around in their hover cars... wait I think you have a bad sense of time.
Things like this are the future of gaming.

Large parts of this article are nonsense. It talks about the 360 lasting till 2015 and then 6 sentences later its discussing the X-Box 3 that will be released next year. Does this guy get paid by someone? Can I work for them too?
I guess the people disagreeing with me came up with a funnier joke than mine and simply refuse to share it with us.
At the bottom of the article snippet it says...
"Please note some grammar and spelling has been corrected"
Priceless
If they're so smart then where are the giant battle robots they've been promising us for the past 30+ years?
It could also be used to downgrade a TV from High Definition to Standard DVDs.
Our kids when we have them, sadly.
I don't care about the melee. You can only play the melee for a certain amount of time before it gets boring. It's the thousands of custom maps dozens of which were actually even good that made Starcraft worth playing. Starcraft 2 better support that aspect of it.
And Data from Star Trek can only perform 60 trillion calculations per second. Oh how far we've come since 2336.
It will be another 20 years until most of the world has a solid internet connection, much less the 10 mbps it would take to download a 36 gigabyte high definition DVD. And that's with a real 10 mbps connection, not an advertised 10 mbps which in reality ends up being more like 5% of that. And by then the next generation of definition will be going strong and we'll be talking about 200+ gigabyte DVD equivalents. I'm not saying internet capacities won't increase faster than disc capacities on t...
You think Microsoft releasing a new console every time Sony catches them is a good thing?
Yes but can you imagine if The Playstation 3 had been released with several strong titles like Motorstorm and Uncharted? Regardless of the final numbers to me I miss the flawless consoles like the Playstation 2 and the Super Nintendo which did not make so many gross errors. But I guess with consoles becoming so complicated it was only a matter of time.
Half-life 3 is going to have a hard time living up to its predecessor. But if they give it an actual story this time it will definitely be a worthy game. I think people were surprised when the sequel to Half-life didn't have much of a story since the original was so progressive in every other way.
