I strongly disagree. I'm not a big racing fan, but considering the amont of content this game offers it would be a huge waste of money renting it.
You'd need to buy this game to enjoy everything it have to offer. And the price is the same as any other new game out there.

@Yangus: Better than IGN bias towards other company products. And they are not even part of that company, what makes it even more shameful yet.
That's the best way to review any game.
You cannot review something that you don't really have any idea about.

Even the simplest of games cannot have a honest review in only one hour of gameplay.

Once you go through the basics, you're ready for the real deal.
Those who aren't able to go through the basics, are probably casual players.
Imagine if a game like Bayonetta put you through the hardest level in the first run. Most people would run scared of it.

And if it is a game that the qualities overthrown the flaws it should get an even higher score yet.

Best racing game ever... Watch the snow and day night effects. Yes if you watch the full video you'll see the day/night transition.
