Hear, hear!
Well. . . Samus has been around since 1987.
Kids these days, I tell ya!
Sure, online is great, but what's wrong with including local? It's not hurting your online play.
It's in the interest of massive corporations to require everyone who wants to play to buy their own system and copy of the game. >_>
Either way I call BS. Each installment of Gears, CoD, or Halo has brought with it new story, environments, characters, modes, weapons. But, hey, sell the hell out of your game!
What a piece of ignorant trash that "essay" was. Blegh.
What fanboy would disagree with what I just said? It is FACT that Nintendo has been messing around with 3D for decades. Look it up.
Parapraxis:
You know Nintendo has been messing around with 3D for decades now, right?
Well, be sure to let us know.
BC on Nintendo's next system, maybe?
The "super steady hands" thing is a myth.
Remember the first Metal Gear for MSX2?
Damn it, they better localize this! >_<
Wasn't this proof running at 20fps? >_>
Of course it will be good enough. Why wouldn't it be?
I haven't read through these comments yet (and probably won't), but I can already see the rabid fanboy rage transpiring. You've got the crazy Sony fanboys this site is known for claiming that 3D is nothing but a useless gimmick that is doomed to fail. Looking back in time, these miserable fanboys were saying the same thing about touch screens and motion controls; one only needs to notice Sony's incorpor...
What I detailed above is exactly what the different console generations mean and have meant for decades. Sure, evolving technology has been a driving force for hardware makers to introduce new platforms, but the introduction of the new platforms themselves is what has traditionally ushered in new console generations, not the graphical power contained within them.
This gen we have the Wii, PS3, and 360. Wii is inarguably less powerful then the other two, but it is also inargua...
Just wanted to point out that of course Nintendo's next system will be next gen! Different generations are defined by the succession of consoles. Whenever a brand new console is released, it's part of a new generation. For example, PS1 and N64 were of the same generation; and Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox were the next generation; followed by Wii, 360, and PS3. Generations are not defined by system power.
What is it with all of these "writers" forgetting that Nintendo exists?
. . .
Alright, then. I don't think you got my point, though. For some reason you seem to be really, really resistant to even entertaining the thought that the 3DS might be something worth looking into even without the 3D effect. There's a lot there that is new and improved.
But, hey, you're happy with your DSi (which. . . apparently you don't play much. . . )! I hope you're happy with your PSP as well, because then you'll have no need ...
. . . not to mention that these series are vastly different from one another.
