Multi-plat games sell more on PS3 in every market besides America. As far as the article games there is minimal to no affect of Piracy on the sales of a console unless its something like a PSP because not many people have the knowhow to flash the dvd drives of the 360 and people are reluctant to possibly brick a system that costs a decent amount of money.

Nope it does not matter but my iPod is full of AACs :P. But FLAC provides compression for WAV which is why I use FLAC and it isn't that resource intensive. I was thinking about Apple Lossless but I was not gonna go through the trouble of decompressing the compressing again because its all lossless anyway.
Don't give the MPAA/RIAA any ideas about how to stop piracy, looks like Microsoft made it their task to take care of these "no good" pirates.
I keep my music in FLAC. Works flawlessly even if I must store my music in Lossy codec I would choose AAC over MP3 any day. MP3 is last generation codec and AAC is the "next gen".
Again its only if WMP modifies the tags of the file Make sure you guys turn off Auto tagging :)
It does not matter if its on a diffrent partition if the new WMP modifies the tags of the MP3s it will (might?) change the size.
Then don't expect to receive an OS that is 2 generations old.
You are free to download movies from the net (Divx!) and start streaming them directly. You don't have to have mandatory installs as many games have shown. You either need redundant data on the disc or installs.
Actually the PS3 is the best Bluray player on the market.
@Viper7
Ya I just grabbed the image from KDE's site :P
As for compiz ive never replaced KWin with compiz I am a KDE person myself but I run Xfce on my old desktop :D
Not to mention the confidence in knowing that Microsoft will be releasing updates for your OS. If you really want all your RAM just install DOS like bladestar said.
Show me a benchmark that supports your statment. "okay, it is faster than xp by 1/4 of sec. So, what other benefit does it have over xp ??"
Some one should delete the comment above me. ^ Thats completely false information look at my reply above.
@bladestar
The Linux Kernel does change allot and the fact that the kernel does not handle the GUI might be the reason you think it doesn't but KDE is far more attractive then Aqua or Aero.

Well you can already install linux on a PS3 and FireFox all the way.
Wow you had the same comment, except it was dumbed down a little, as mcgrawgamer.The only difference is you have two agrees and he has one and you have four bubbles while he has eight.
"Which MS has a finger in if I'm not mistaken."
Nope.
It has nothing to do with Adobe since Flash Player has been updated to the latest. Its NetFront that has to pull their weight now they are the ones who made both the PSP and the PS3 browser. I think Sony will keep updating the flash player now because Adobe is actually updating the Linux Flash Player.
Microsoft is not pushing any hype this is all journalism, even when Vista came out there were dire signs of failure before it came out.
In the Agreement update that MS did it states you can not do (well post) benchmarks on the beta, which is the reason he did not do a benchmark.
"And Microsoft themselves have stated that Windows 7 is based on the Windows Vista code-base, just with basic tweaks to the GUI and drivers."
If that is what you believe then you should not expect a major amount of ram reduction to my knowledge there has been no such thing said. I would appreciate it if you show me the source.
But, as far as I know majority of the work being done on Windows 7 is under the hood, meaning they are going to clean out the kernel...
Why are people disagreeing with you?
Sure Sony could allow you to copy the whole game disk onto the drive , but blurays are too big. Unlike the 360 installs the PS3 installs do not take up 4GB on average. Also, as Mr Bun explained not all of them are mandatory. There are few titles that have large install size. Back to the article, I am unsatisfied that Microsoft did go with just storing disk images but I was expecting git sucks to be those with arcade though or even with a 20GB HDD.
