Do u think if you saw Return of the Jedi first and not the previous two films at all, you would've enjoyed star wars...?

Yep. All the above points. Very misleading. Plus 100, 000 against reapers. Do a little research lol

Although fun in its linear way, there is still a sense of squandered potential as to its micro consequences and a waste of a new and nuanced character.

Agree with lucreto.

Perhaps a parallel story spanning the 2 years that Shep is out of action. Use the game save from ME1 to reflect the state of the galaxy left from your original choices with a wider selection of human and non-human protagonist that you can edit physically and again with variable backgrounds. Not necessarily a straight military character but someone from the seedier side. Take in venues such as omega and ilium plus others new to us. Bring back a sense of exp...

Salarian delatros and alternative council member were female. Urdnot Bakara for the krogan. Of course needless to say we have seen quarians (not touching the photo issue), and by now asari are a moot point.

Still, having said that, one would have expected to see a few during the parven mission. Nonetheless, It will be interesting to get a female perspective on the turian meritocracy if narrative allows.

Will definitely be bringing Ga...

BW made all new classes available during initial download of the retaliation pack then pulled them, leaving only the new volus and turian classes. I suppose they are gonna trickle them out, but I recall seeing: a quarian soldier- marksman; drell and asari infiltrators along with the krogan shaman adept; additional batarian class and possibly new vorcha as well, but can't remember exactly.

Played right the volus adept can carry a team thru gold against collectors

If the game's narrative reflects uniquely nuanced ingame attitudes towards each respective gender then it is legitimate to experience said narrative as a female character. This certainly was the case for me with Mass Effect, a chance to portray an empowered woman, in a narrative that largely respects that, like a Ripley. Otherwise would not have had the opportunity to enjoy some excellent voice acting as by Ms Hale.

Additionally makes a change from Johnny Caucasian defau...

ME3 (flawed) for me, along with Dragon Dogma (surprising) and Sleeping Dogs (authentic). All very different and rewarding gaming experiences.

I personally agree with ghost and superior above. It is almost as though all that exists of ME3 is that ending. Having said that, the finality of the conclusion with Shepard dead or 'evolved' for two out of three endings does put a dampner on some gamers' reception to this dlc. By the end of ME2 Shep was alive, and I suppose most players continued with the dlcs as post suicide mission events- an approach that obviously can't be catered to in ME3.

Sure the end...

For any pre ending dlc to succeed, it must have a radical impact on that ending. Start giving invested players dramatic alternatives to or somehow within what seems to be their canonical ending(s).

At the end of the day the ME3 ending(s), extended or otherwise have caused, and for some time to come it seems, a plethora of reactions- from the downright vitriolic to the creative, and all points in between. And you know what: all reactions are valid; be it the invested gamer who was merely disappointed; the gamer who accepted that their journey has come to a satisfying though flawed end; the incensed gamer who will never accept the ending; the creative gamer who will find an outlet to real...

I enjoyed it, tegardless of what impact it will have on the ending
I always craved more interactivity with the gaming environment within ME3 and you get that with the scenes at the lab. It is good to piece clues together that will lead you to the eventual destination for your mission rather than overhear it from whomever. Also one got the inkling that other individuals were having their own adventures parallel to your experience as Shepard.

The environments are well ...

When ME3 is good, it is very very good. When it is bad, it is horrid. There were several moments within the game when I was genuinely choked with emotion. Something that was not so powerfully provoked in the previous 2 games. For me that is a positive achievement within a gaming medium. The ending was what it was. I don't know whether sci fi as a genre within gaming that is difficult to provide a universally satisfying ending especially concluding a trilogy. There have been successful con...

I think that ME3 was pandered out to noobs and MP Shooter gamers and the figures reflect the non-completion of those not invested in the story and their own shepard since game 1- I mean would you if you came into the star wars original trilogy at return of the jedi? Also a lot of noobies went to and stayed with the Galaxy @ War- we've all seen N7 ranks of 2000+, 5000 etc.

Personally it is a franchise I have returned to many times in spite of its flaws, you know for the jo...

That's a good point,Tictac, but most players wanted a really good ending but didn't get that. Conversely many didn't want multiplay but they got that anyway. Mind you that turned out to be a pleasant surprise and I think most players get and appreciate the co-operative aesthetic. Go figure. The lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

Not sure I'm making a point now or anything...oh yeah, in the spirit of versusall and edawg, my 6 shepards across the multiverse h...
