You're getting ripped off on pizza and beer too, lol.
You can keep complaining about it, but until people refuse to purchase these things, it will continue. I know the beta was a beta, but I was bored after 3 rounds, so I'm not planning on buying this game anyway. I yearn for the old days when companies released full games and didn't charge you twice to play them if you wanted the whole thing.
If indies are your thing, that's cool, but not everyone likes them. I've tried some and didn't care for them and neither did my friends. These things are made to play on phones and tablets, and chrome books, not a $400 console. I love seeing the comments that people who don't like indies or don't like the recent PS+ lineups aren't true gamers, like the opinion of someone that still lives in their mom's basement means anything to anyone.
lol, are people disagreeing that you don't like the games this month, or that it's a good month if you like indies?
Probably not.
Are people really paying attention to the stupid weather and scenery when racing? I dunno about most people, but I'm paying attention to the track where the racing is. I'm gonna give this game a chance when they get the PS+ version up, but I really enjoy tweaking my car to try to get that advantage over the next guy.
They're 2 completely different games anyways. In one you can adjust everything on your car and race, the other you just get in the same car everyone else has and drive around. If you can't adjust your ride you might as well be playing Cruisin' USA again.
#3 is my biggest thing, it's what makes a racing game a racing game. Otherwise you might as well be racing Geo Metros.
I'd rather have substance over looks. DC looks amazing, but I like being able to adjust the performance of my cars. I get the whole being fair to people who don't know anything about cars, but for people who came up playing Gran Tourismo, it's about tinkering with your cars to get that advantage over your friends. I'd buy this game in a heartbeat if it had more customizable stuff.
Customization is supposed to be half the fun of a racing game. There's a game for people that like arcade racers: Cruisin' USA, lol
I was looking forward to this until they said you won't be able to adjust the performance of the cars. Forza is the only thing I miss from Xbox.
The only thing that has kept me from buying one is the insane prices on proprietary memory.
Keep an eye on Best Buy for trade in deals too, they usually offer a better deal than GameStop.
