I have to agree with you...there is something about being in a place that is completely foreign and not truly knowing what your choices will do to the future of the initiative. It is definitely not polished but honestly none of the Mass Effect games were. I remember a nasty glitch in ME2 where during a side mission my characters would start floating in the air for no reason and there was no way to fix it except booting up an old save. That sucked.
Thanks! I am well aware they did a piece on good features. That still does not make my comment any less valid. My god, how hard is it to spell correctly? I choose to read these because I want to see what nit picking is being done and voice my opinion on what I disagree on. We all get it. The game has flaws but the choice to streamline powers being a "flaw" is purely subjective. I like where they went because with the action being more intense than previous Mass Effects I do not want to waste time in a power wheel. I will agree the game does get a lot of hate from people that haven't played it but there are some game breakers that need to be fixed. The rubber banding with certain attacks is hilarious as much as it is cheap, matchmaking is a joke, and the buffs they did on certain characters made them way too OP. Yea...was very easy to keep everyone alive. They should have had a tutorial before the mission on how to pay attention.
Yea I think when I finally got around to ME3 the whole ending debacle was just starting to simmer down so I went into 3 with little to no expectations which probably made the experience better for me overall. Oh well, to each their own and like I've said I can not wait to get back into the universe. That 10 hour trial made the last few days tough!
I can not believe you praised Ubisoft here...shhhh! Haha to be honest though they get so much flak for their "incomplete" games but are really good at actually listening to fans and making changes that are needed.
Without starting a war I am not too sure either what all the "hate" was about because I enjoyed 1-3 from start to finish. From the little time I had to play, it gave you that feeling of wonder and intrigue that the first one did. Tuesday can't come fast enough.
If you like Mass Effect you will like it.

Yes! Besides Yakuza this is my favorite franchise that Sega ever brought out. Now get on those HD remakes of 1 and 2!!!
So to update my other posts. This game is Mass Effect no matter what people are trying to say. If you love Mass Effect at all you will be right at home with this game. Just started playing today and I can not wait to have more time to go into detail. Even the first real side mission has me investigating the "first Andromeda murder". Don't fall for the negativity this is ME through and through. If you want any more details let me know.
I am glad I'm not the only one that noticed the music that was completely off. I would be walking around the main area with no enemies in sight and suddenly the music went into frantic tense mode for no reason. Had to turn it down too since it was super loud for no reason. Really hoping this isn't a representation of the final product.
