I currently have a YLOD system sitting next to me.. I also have a new slim system set up right next to it.. Was it all just a grand scheme to make me go get a new system or have mine sent in to be worked on?!?!? lol, no.. friends of mine have had systems that came before mine that are still working.. i've had friends who bought their systems after mine and they already have YLOD. When i spoke with a SCEA representative he commented that Sony "doesn't know what causes the yellow l...
the reason i don't care for activision as a company any more is because they got so greedy. they got a little success and now are exploiting it. cod4.. great game! got a map pack with 4 or 5 new maps for $10!! Activision recently released the second map pack with 3 new maps for $15.. so that's 6 new maps for $30?!?!? I have to admit that I did make the mistake of buying the first one.. and unfortunately my close friends who play MW2 (which is now only one of my friends) bought it befo...
the online play is not affected whatsoever. your stats will appear as if they were wiped out on occasion but they are indeed still in tact. connect to the multiplayer option and then back out again. your stats will be there. hopefully a patch is coming. another thing i've noticed is that sometimes it will show that i have just unlocked something, but it shows EVERYTHING i've already unlocked.. hopefully the patch will fix that as well.. as far as the servers go, i have a poor internet...
..after looking everywhere for a new 250GB after my 80GB went YLOD on me, i finally find one!! YES! .... no extras, no bundle, but a better price on a decent hard drive.. not even gonna waste my time swapping it.. Sony would just bundle something better the next week :(
I can't wait to see what Respawn will do. I expect great things as does everyone else, i'm sure. Of course Activision as well as IW won't SUFFER too greatly, but they definitely missed a huge opportunity in all of this. Employees can make or break a company. Like I said before.. can't wait to hear from Respawn and see what they will come up with. (maybe a shooter with Playstation MOVE...?..)
i completely agree that people who cram their systems into a small space and expect the system to never overheat are ignorant.. i got the first gen of the 80GB PS3 and always kept it out in an "open air" atmosphere.. usually on my coffee table with no other electronics around.. i regularly cleaned my system with compressed air cans.. usually about once every 2 months.. sometimes every few months.. i usually had one or sometimes two fans moving air throughout the room as well.. my sy...
