Yes development costs are up but so are the number of gamers buying games more so than ever in history. So they are banking more than ever before. COD 4 sold more than 10 million copies, multiply that by 60 US dollars, that comes out to 600 million dollars!!! Even if Activision only gets half of that due to royalties paid and so on thats still 300 million now how much does it cost to develop a game? 30 frames per second is absolutely not standard by any means, its extremely poor actually. 60 frames per second is par and what all devs shoot for on ps3 and xbox 360. cod 4 halo 3 resistance 2 all run at 60 frames a second. when played on pc 100 frames a second or better is not uncommon at all. Dude check your facts man, almost two years ago microsoft released a game that allows user created content and allows users to share download and play on user created levels. it needs installs to keep it close to the loading times of the 360 and still doesn't quite load as fast thats why they have to do installs...
