This is a winning strategy, the less we buy, the more freebies we'll eventually get when we do buy. So no one Titanfall, and pretty soon we'll get a price drop on the system. It's a win for us.

So, will all of this have an unintended side effect of developers shooting lower for their games so they can have parity accross the two consoles? All of the games thus far that perform better on PS4 were being worked on before devs got a really good look at performance on XBOne's final dev equipment.
Put another (more inflamatory) way, are XBOX hardware limitations going to hold back game devs for another generation?
Um, the High textures show a player on the Militia side, where as the Insane textures are of a player on the IMC side. That's why the arms looks so different. They're skins representing different characters.
Cynically, I can't help but notice that there was no call for calm from Microsoft when the PS3 was struggling with hate in its early days. I think they realize now that hate really killed the PS3 early on and they're now afraid that it'll do the same to the XBOne, and with their company the way it currently is, the XBOne might not get the chance to wait it out in the long game the way the PS3 did if the system doesn't do better really soon.
Again, cynically.
It feels like they're almost excluding the hardcore gamer from the discussion and just assuming that those guys will just buy their system regardless of all else.
Not the juiciest news, but interesting to hear that this stuff is happening. Dev stuff like this seems a lot more common in Europe. Wonder why.
