personally i'm really loving the game. the story is interesting and unique, the setting and characters are for the most part all great and up to par with the other two games. i'm probably the only one who's happy that there AREN'T a ton of filler missions for "variety". it's the first open world game where i haven't had to go pick up an NPC or specific vehicle so the story could shove exposition down my throat or pad the length of the game. people referencing...
i've been waiting for a "the fifth element" style open world since i was 12 years old. they've done enough of modern american cities and parody, would love to see them do a sci fi floating cars over the top satire of consumerist future. wouldn't need aliens or anything, but having just floating cars and verticality to the driving would be awesome.
for some reason it's become fashionable for reviewers to trash this game. it's a shame because it's actually a really fun shooter and the co op mode is a hidden gem. It might not be a 10/10 but a 6 is an insult.
I'm sad to see this reviewed so poorly, I got an early copy from a mom and pop shop last Friday and have been hooked ever since. It feels like a blend between Classic FPS games like Frontlines fuels of war, an urban set Far Cry, and Starbreeze titles like Darkness, Riddick, and Syndicate. Loud guns, brutal melee, and the ability to stealth everything. If you were at all interested in this game I highly recommend giving it a chance, most reviewers were probably expecting COD or something b...

I find these articles really frustrating. They're comparing shots from the game that are seemingly the same location, but have completely different render settings/lighting. Everyone cries downgrade but fails to realize that a shot with volumetric sun rays and bounce light is going to look different than an ambient lit/night time shot. It's not a downgrade, it's an entirely different look. Everyone seems to shit on ubisoft for thier graphics, saying they downgrade every time, but ...
i disagree, i hit half life 2 on the oculus dev kit 1, and lasted until the latency made me nauseous haha, which on average was about 45 minutes of play time. with the new oculus, and as the tech improves it's totally plausible. Also that 45 minutes was the best fps gaming experience of my life, ducking behind cover as a window blows out with surround sound, or looking over the edge of a drop. fighting those little helicopter things.
Redwood Falls, Eight Days, Getaway 3. What about these games?

Where is the bullet penetration in walls? All three stream video's only show satchel charges blowing holes in walls, or guns putting holes in the barricades, but when they showed this at E3 it had bullets ripping through the actual walls.....they better not bate and switch us on that feature that was THE best looking part of this game.

one of the main thing's this game and other recent third person shooters have lacked is blind fire. it's really disappointing to not have blind fire as a mechanic, or even something to use for dramatic effect in the middle of a firefight. replaying the game missions or just getting into shootouts alone or with friends would be great to have the ability to blind fire from cover like in movies. i was especially surprised an ubisoft game left it out, as most of their games have the abili...
open world feudal japan/samurai, in the vain of red dead. would be really great to have an open world samurai game where the west has influenced, so there's still guns, but mostly swordplay with bamboo forests and what not. horse gameplay, and maybe the option to level up to a ninja or something!
or manhunt 3 would be greatly welcomed in my book :))))))
not to mention the ability to custom soundtrack and private voice chat overlay. i in no way hate the ps3, but to deny that multiplats are going to run/look better on it are delusions. in the end just buy it on the platform all your friends will be playing it on.
this article makes it sound like the xbox has worse aliasing than the ps3, when i've never known the ps3 to have better aliasing. I've played IV on xbox360, ps3, and pc, and while obviously the pc is going to win for graphics and aliasing, the xbox360 has always handled multiplatform games better BECAUSE of the aliasing. I'll wait and see, currently I have it pre ordered for the xbox, but if it turns out ps3 is better i'll swap it, but in the end if and when it comes to pc bot...
I think i started playing around 11:30/12 and i didn't finish the game until around 5 am. It's short enough to knock out in one sitting, but didn't feel short. I like to marathon through games but I think my experience was better for it this time around, it's such an intense experience that when i was finally nearing the end I got a sense of relief that I don't think I would have gotten if I had played it in multiple sittings...then again..it's a terrifying game haha
just beat it and it was honestly one of my favorite horror games if not my favorite. don't watch the video, just play it for yourself. it's one hell of an experience.

what i'm sure they'll do (and what I hope they'll do) is drop constant references to all the great action/cop/heist movies from the 80's set in l.a.
-you've got the car chase/foot chase from point break
-you've got the car chase on the opposite side of the freeway from to live and die in l.a.
-bank/street shootout scene from heat.
-you've got the car park chase from tango and cash.
-would love to see them reference s...
Huge fan of the far cry franchise, and i loved primal, and would love them to do a dinosaur game with modern guns, basically an open world jurassic park.
On another note though with the scale of wildlands being an entire country, i could see them doing something amazing about a tourist trapped in a country after a civil war or conflict/occupation breaks out and then the game focusing on the player trying to escape the country and reach the border.
I don...
