I go through the same thing too. I have all 3 vr and hundreds of games and only a few I liked to stay in to finish. I buy them, psvr2 too, cause it is cool but and I thinks it great for a couple weeks and then I don’t want the hassle and don’t touch it for a year.
The vr session is a thing, the prep to do it is an actual deterrent for people. When excited in the mind you get motivated and do it fine. But there are many times you just want to play and not set it up.
No crap I have them all and I often go a year between using quest, rift, psvr, then when I play for a couple weeks before another long months of no vr. Same will prob happen at end of the month with psvr.
My kids wanted it on pc but I bought Xbox as they can all play it for just one copy under different gamer tags.
The performance difference is of note- you can tweak on pc to the best fidelity and frame rate, that’s the bonus!
It’s nice but gets old fast. You’re not missing much. In time maybe the tech will get better and eliminate the nausea and probably at that point vr will actually be really good.
I started on the ground floor with pong, intelevision and Atari. I was really interested in the PlayStation move and Kinect and now of course vr.
Stupid question probably but do I need to have played the other games first?
They are not professional journalists with a degree in journalism. They can’t get a real job so they send through as many crap articles for as many crap websites for $2 per article.
Running a mining app secretly, thank goodness people found this crap. I won’t buy their games now.
Well miss out then, those games are just so fun for me and the family. I’ll buy what’s needed to get that experience. If I want a good steak I’m not going to McDonalds, sucks I have to pay but when I’m in the mood I want me some Nintendo
I’ve had fun for decades before games were available above 30fps.
People on a budget can’t just “always go with the recommended.” Some people are working with what they can afford, maybe living below their means a bit.
Another option is stay a few years behind new games and not buy new releases. Get it for $17 and after a hardware upgrade.
Did not have this on my radar, let me see….
If I use the ps5 internal ssd all the time deleting and redownloading for years and it wears out the internal can I easily replace that?
If there is risk maybe I should get an expansion ssd to do all of that wear on the drive and keep the internal mostly for system stuff.
Another question are we at top speeds now for expansion ssds? Or in the next year will there be faster tech that is noticeable?
My kids got the battle pass but then asked for the $70 skip tiers thing. I wanted to get it for them since they like the game but I can’t get over the ridiculousness of skins. Who cares if you have a blue or purple hat. Am I missing something?
I don’t want them to grind, I want them to have a fun hour of fun gameplay. But I told them pick out a new game for $70 and maybe we buy that on sale soon.
Once I bought one a $20 cool switchblade knife in a game ...
I had a 4K tv during the ps360 days, before the ps4 was even announced. I had it on an og gtx titan. From my research was the first commercially available 4K tv brand sold in the US, I believe it was a Seiki I got on Amazon.
At the time‘‘Twas funny people playing 720p down sampled by the console to even less like 540p and I’d play the same multi platform game in full 4K 3840x2160 on pc.
Ah, the Bestbuy test- bravo to you.
Seems I remember I heard a comment like yours before - every friggin year since 800x600 and pong.
I can’t wait for my tv to break so I can have an excuse to 8k
Why the fk are talking about 800x600…
Etc
Etc
Etc
Why the fk are we talking about 1650x1050…
You really want to be on that side of history?
So your not up to date with the service you pay for since it’s listed on the front page. You would like random 3rd party websites you don’t pay for to write an article for you to remind you and maybe keep writing daily update articles in case you miss it.
Well good for you Phil has rented a car and plane with signs to circle your house daily to remind you. In addition the power company will be adding the service for you shortly.
Over the years I usually buy my multi platform games on pc but now I think psvr2 is better than quest 2 on pc so I’ll get this on Sony. Then when q3 comes out I’ll probably wish I had it on steam for $10.
