It's not just that they're paying him. This is just conjecture on my party but it probably has to do with the fact that they're supporting his idea/his game(s). All that is as a result of their indie studio support.

NT games range from good to ok (8-5s), and if you think they get alot of free passes then I have bring into question both your age and memory. Clearly they got alot of "free passes" for DmC right?

I hope your joking, because the Yakuza games are a monumental translation project and we're lucky they localized it at all_

On a somewhwat related note the music for the game is fantastic imo. I personally love it, and this from the same guy who did the OSTs for DmC. I didn't hate DmCs OSTs they fit the game fine, but outside of the game the sound bad. However, these soundtracks are just awesome. Highly recommend checking out the Black March good stuff.

If you go back and check the first few dev daries, or know abit about development you'd see why them having no support (a publisher) is a good thing. What their trying to prove is that indie developers can make games that have AAA quality on a low budget (AA games) without needing support from publishers and thus make the game they envision. Also, with this method they can sell the game for less with a lower sells projection (200k).

It's not a snub as much as the games it was up against were just that good. In RPG it had Witcher/Fallout4/Undertale all of which are more actual RPGs; In GOTY it had Witcher which already has more in depth RPG mechanics while having a much larger world; In best Art Direction it was up against witcher (again much larger world) and Ori which had an amazing use of colors so that was a much tougher area to win imo.

The ironic thing about your statement is that it's a low budget AA game with the aim fot AAA quality :p

The walkers themselves are no problem (orbitals and airspeeders pretty much destroy them). The real issue are the spawns for players and support items. It's so easy to get repeated AT-AT supoort, but if you want an X-Wing or air speeder good freggin luck! Plus the AT-STs are so easy to find pick up AND they tank through so much damage :/ hell for some reason rebel spaceships do almost no damage to them even though they do really good against walkers.

Other than spawns th...

I don't think you realize the full extent to which information spreads in any form of media, especially on the internet. You could be doi g your best not to get spoiled and accidentally find spoilers anywhere.

They've already stated in the Dev Dairies that theu don't have the budget to include a dynamic camera liks in DmC, Enalaved, and Heavenly Sword. So, their using this one because it best fits the needs of the team for the game..

You don't want a tall, naked, two-toned blonde man casting armageddon on you?

DmC didn't really have any bugs that were extremely popular, I don't know where your pulling that from. As for gameplay and heavenly sword thats a matter of individual opinion.

Again all you did in your last comment was prove my point. I even gave you a specific dev diary to look at. In that video they brought people in to test the gameplay and the response wasvery negative. So, what they did is take the design back to drawing board and address as many level and gamep...

thanks for being a prime example of my last comment.

If you watched the dev diaries, specifically the gameplay, you'd know how they've handled criticism.

I really love the dev diary approach in games, it really adds personality to the team behind the game. The last game I remember doing this was MAG, still my favorite MMOFPS and miss playing it to this day

In MGS4s case it had the task of having to tie in every other MGS game in one game while keeping it's own story intact. In that regard I think it did a pretty good job; even though it did feel bloated, without those cutscenes MGS4 would have left a very hollow ending to a saga.

I like hellblades concept of 1v1 with all the tools at your disposal. Sadly it's one of those games that'll fly under the radar because of the people who hated DmC or Ninja Theory and will thus scrutinize it because it's from Ninja Theory and looks likd an action game.

Here's to hoping it reaches it's goal of 200K sells
