PS4Pro isn't as powerful as the Skorpio, but that £350 price point is really good. It's doubtful that the Skorpio can compete with that price. I think the Pro will continue Sony's victory this gen.
It's amazing to me that one of the best writers/developers in the industry thinks race is AS IMPORTANT as gameplay. Doesn't that get your alarm bells ringing that someone is so obsessed with the race of characters in stories? What a nutter.
These people can't seem to get this idea out of their head that Sony is somehow punishing early adopters. Despite all the measures Sony have implemented to make sure nothing changes for the vanilla PS4 owners. There's not reasoning with a lot of these people.
"Kill your ambition" "Kill innovation"
What logical sense would it make to completely ignore a platform with identical architecture and 40 million users
It seems like a very comfortable middle-ground to me. People who don't want to spend a tonne on the fairly complicated process of getting a gaming PC, but still want prettier and better running games can purchase the Neo, while the even more casual audience isn't losing a thing.
This is a great summary of what has been going on in the current and previous generation of console. The ease of development at the cost of graphical evolution over the generation is the most glaring part of this generation but I think there's an argument to be had as to whether that's really a 'problem' like the title suggests. I think the average console gamer's main priority for a game system is that it runs all games and without hiccups, and the newest generation of co...
I don’t understand why this guy thinks this is a shameless cash-grab by Sony. The regular PS4 model is still selling about 300k units every week (according to VGChartz). Releasing a newer console this early, while the older unit is still selling like hot-cakes, is only going to minimize the total amount of units sold in the long run. The newer model will be taking sales from the older one. And presumably they would be making smaller percentages of profit per-unit by releasing a machine with n...
This article is at the very least a year late, but I'm glad it finally happened.
It runs at 30fps though so no dice.
Don't worry guys, it's only Digital Homicide. Meaning they're going to fail and it's going to be hilarious.
What have you people been drinking. Bringing yet another competitive store to buy games from on the PC, as well as bringing Xbox exclusives to the platform is somehow bad for PC gamers? This is the stupidest bunch of comments I've seen in a long time, and that's saying a lot. The PC platform has more games and more heated competition from more stores, how could this possibly be a bad thing.
Wow, how slow is the Metal Gear community. Just remember that it's called the Phantom Pain.
That is the stupidest thing I've seen all week. The game where you can have your tapes spoken over with that annoying raspy radio sound while you should really be listening to what is actually happening around you is the winner of the best sound design award.
I'm glad they have such a reception here, they are very talented and treat their audience with respect. They're the mother-company to GOG.com, a website dedicated to collecting classic games and selling them DRM-free.
Yeeees
I was starting to worry that it would be Fallout 4 or god forbid MGSV.
Wow, an article about Fallout vs the Witcher and the guy manages to say little-to-nothing. The Witcher 3 is better, but this guy is acting like they are both equal in quality, only that they cater to a different audience.
I think the Witcher 3 is the stand-out game this year. MGSV was very hit and miss and with massive structural issues, and Fallout 4 carries all the problems the previous games had and is generally mediocre. Oh and we all know how Batman went.
I found that the voice acting generally didn't carry any authenticity, it was like a cartoon. Piper's voice was actually pretty good though. Pacing is shocking considering how good the pacing was in Fallout 3. They are in so much of a rush to get you out into the wasteland that they forget to write the wife character decently. And the tone is all over the place, it's sad for one minute in the vault, and then after like three minutes it's all happy again because the exit doors ...
All the other issues that stop it from being a good game:
Vocal performances
Writing
Pacing
Tone
Animations
All of these things are sub-par even for a game with half this budget.
I knew Dragonknight wrote this just by the title. The ego so massive dude.
