Great response to Ubisoft and their disgusting behavior. Ubisoft decide to take away DLC from people who paid for it, while EA give it for free to everyone when they realize their system sucks. Who would have thought that EA of all companies would be showing Ubisoft how it should be done (even if this is EA fixing their own mistakes as well).
Back in the PS2 era it seemed like they could do no wrong. Now they do everything wrong. It is sad to see how they have fallen. Even more sad that they are making more money than ever despite not caring about the gamers anymore.
People playing their decades old titles don't make Rockstar new money. Money is the only thing Rockstar cares about at this point. Sad to think they were one of my favourite publishers once upon a time.
You are right, it is exactly the same. In fact, I think there is so little difference that all games should be always online. Everyone hates single player games anyway, and loves simply renting the games and losing access the moment the servers have issues, are updating, or when they are eventually taken down. Because games without always online are so outdated. Wanting full access to the games you bought is just gamer entitlement, and obviously an outdated way of thinking.
...
"The younger crowd this is aimed at won't get the outdated references"
Let's be real, this is aimed at the 30 year old demographic nostalgic for these kind of platformers.
For most cheaters, I don't think that's their mission. They are just entitled and narcissistic and think they "deserve" to win (even though their real skill is not good enough). They don't even think about how it affects others.
I agree. Horizon is amazing, but it's not exactly breaking new ground in terms of gameplay innovations. It just combines the best aspects of other open world games, in a really satisfying and polished package.
The the existence of this subpar "definitive" trilogy is one massive glitch, that never should have been. The way his comments are phrased only shows how out of touch he is with gamers.
That's in 3 months. Around 2 months until the game has to go gold, and there's very little that they can change in 2 (or even 3) months, especially in terms of graphics. It will be mostly finalizing content, and bug fixes.
Most people only ever encounter a few of those bugs in their entire playthroughs. I played the game about a month after launch and didn't have any problems. But it's easy to make a compilation of bugs when you combine ones from hundreds of different people.
At least keep your story consistent. You talk about you playing riders republic, when it has exclusive skins locked behind expensive microtransactions. In a full price game.
Except we know that the people crying and whining here are not even gamers and they don't even play Halo.
By that logic no free to play game could ever score above 7
One of the most positive surprises this year. I think we all had our doubts about this game, but it turned out amazing.
I agree, no one will buy everything, but it can be an interesting fact to find out. Probably doesn't warrant an entire article, but what really seems entitled and silly is the reaction certain people have to these kinds of articles.
Exactly. And in other games, normally you have garbage like lootboxes, which makes you spend literally several thousands of real life dollars and still not get everything. Or microtransactions tied to things affecting gameplay. Or even worse, both. So this is the absolute best case scenario once we knew it will be free to play.
For a free to play game that is a very low number. Even for many non free to play games. CRIES IN FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM where 1000$ can't even get you the best team.
Edit: oh that's right FIFA is a full price game, where you buy lootboxes, and you gain better players through them. It's pay to win and since you buy lootboxes with miniscule chance of getting players you want, you have to spend 1000s of real life dollars to get a competitive team. In a full price game...
Seriously, I don't get some people here. They expect a multi million dollar highly polished game that everyone can play for free, to have no monetization at all?
Not everyone has as much time for gaming. Work, family, kids, often doesn't leave that much free time. And when you only get short periods of play, infrequently, it is difficult to also learn a game with as steep of a learning curve, when you get maybe a couple of hours a week to play.
Exactly, what a stupid clickbait headline. You can actually play a lot more games for "free" this way. The way the title is worded is clearly to mislead into thinking you don't need PS Plus subscription, when in fact you do. But they include the word "paid" and so technically a trial is not paid, so they don't outright lie, but are very clearly doing everything they can to mislead.
The title should have been, "PlayStation owners can sign up ...
