If an employee makes a public statement, it *absolutely* reflects on the employer. So the employer has every right to respond by firing and distancing themselves from said employee.
Free speech being protected means you can and should be able to say what you want, but it's never meant you should never face any consequences after spreading nonsense.
No one should be imprisoned or physically harmed for the making of this game -- that would indeed be heinous...
Free speech and expression isn't a one-way street where you get to spout foolishness and no one gets to call you out on it. If someone puts an opinion out into the public sphere and people find it idiotic, they have every right to call it nonsense.
Basically, the impression I get from you is that don't want free speech and expression -- you want your special snowflake opinion to be heard, but never challenged.
Oh my
is it hot in here, or is it just bunny guys
I totally agree. When it comes to games... I'm open to lots of different kinds of experiences. That's something I love about them. "Gaming" is a big tent, with room enough for all kinds of games to appeal to all kinds of tastes.
B-b-but... that wasn't Vayne's motivation or goal at all :/ Vayne is, in fact, quite a human antagonist with human motivations. I wrote some more stuff here about Vayne and Venat but it was a bit spoiler-y so it was probably best to take it out. Oh wells.
I think 12 has a wonderful cast(especially its secondary characters, who outshine the secondary characters of pretty much every other FF game), a great story, the most detailed setting in the series outside the MMOs ...
I'd put 12 near the top personally, it's easily one of my favorites in the series. 9, 6 and 12 are my top three I'd say
This year is looking like, IMO, one of the best in a long time for rpgs. So much stuff to look forward to
Good to see Jade from Beyond Good & Evil there
Needs April Ryan from The Longest Journey though!
Some of my other favorites would include Visas Marr from KOTOR2, Morrigan from Dragon Age: Origins, Chloe Valens from Tales of Legendia, Jean from Lunar 2, and Syrenne from The Last Story
I'm really looking forward to both this and Axiom Verge this month

Fair enough -- what I might recommend is, if it's been a while since you've played it, that you consider going back to it and focusing just on the story. I can definitely understand it losing impact for some people since there's so many sidequests and so on, it's easy to get sidetracked for great lengths of time.
But playing through just the story it's actually a very well put together tale I think; there's less melodrama which I can appreciate since t...
I can't really agree tbh. To each their own of course, but I much prefer XII's story, cast and setting to VIII or X's.
As for playing itself, that's entirely up to the player, which is why I'm very fond of the gambit system. It gives the player a lot of freedom to play how they want. You can have all three characters entirely gambit controlled, manually control the lead character and use gambits for the other two(which is how I played and I never felt the ...
I dunno, personally, I think XII had all of those things. Well, it only had a few minigames and they were less involved or interesting as ones in previous games, but it had all the awesome hunts, optional espers, numerous optional areas, etc. Plus it had such a fantastically detailed and interesting setting. It's one of my favorites in the series, personally.
Now XIII definitely disappointed me. I enjoyed its combat system, but in a 40 hour rpg I need more than *just* a g...
Hmm, Legacy of Kain, Panzer Dragoon, Wild Arms, Suikoden, Myth, Descent Freespace, Valkyrie Profile, a true Paper Mario come to mind
One I'd really like to see is some kind of spiritual successor to the Soul Blazer/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma "trilogy"
The developer posted on their facebook page earlier today that they've sent the Wii U and 3DS version patches to Nintendo for approval.
I wanted to play this on the 3DS but decided to hold off until it was patched, so hopefully it won't be too long now.
That's what's nice about MMOs -- you can always join a guild and make friends in-game
I made friends in Ultima Online 15 years ago that I still occasionally talk to, and many more I wish I were still in contact with
So if that's the only reason you haven't tried WoW(or some other MMO) yet, I'd say go for it tbh
I was really hoping the next TES game would be set in Elsweyr, myself
Do you have a blindfold on and your fingers in your ears or something? There are a lot of movies and TV series that are about, or involve, gay couples
I'm glad to see Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light included, that was a ton of fun co-op
But I think my favorite co-op games ever are the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games. Played through them both multiple times with a friend of mine and they were always really fun.
I saw "no Kuni" and a small, very colorful screenshot and got super excited
