For me, i have never been impressed with Games to Movies and Movies to Games. I can't really find many that were all that compelling.
It definetly looks interesting, may have to do an article on it! :)
I think you bring some interesting points here, definetly things to think about!
I will have to take a look, that does sound pretty interesting.
They Honestly remind me of Microsoft. They also have kneejerk responses - wanting to cut down anyone who uses their material. Bad PR + no real 'next gen' to compete with = bad aspects.
I don't know, I am not saying that this wont catch on. For me, it's just to bulky. I think when we have Google Glass doing virtual reality - then it will sky rocket. The bulkiness is a turn off.
I think it also gives kind of an idea how things have evolved and where you can see why people look at it the way they do!
Playstation seems to be destroying Xbox.. In every way. I don't know how microsoft has fallen so far!
I have to admit, I actually laughed at this. It would be awesome if it was determined this was it. That's one of the failures of this study though - There's no way to know what conditions the person was in.
I think you may be onto something. It's my hope that we see more and more machines come out like this one and the Ouya. The more options we have, the more customized they will be.
End of the year, usually is 'list' season from any source you go to. All of our writers wanted to give their take on games they liked or wanted to like. Every source is doing it - hell you even see foxnews and cnn with 'tech lists', 'failures of the year', etc etc. Tis the season, and all that.
I would have to completely agree. I think that patience ensures you get what game you want for a reasonable price. It's just that some of the games take a pretty long time. Even Starcraft 2 is at 39.99 when there aren't any discounts. It's very surprising
I would also say one of the saddest pieces of DLC is when they are required to be cut out based on platform. If you purchase the PS3 you'll get something special. If you purchase the XBOX 360 version, you get something else. But, if you buy the PC version - it doesn't have either of those. You lose a piece of the game when you do that.
I will pass on your comments to Taylor as feedback. I will say that taking out the descriptor of 'softened' it is accurate what happened. He stated 'Oh Yea, I'm real messed up in the head, I'm going to go shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still, beating hearts'. And then followed up later with 'lol' and 'jk'. They were not apart of the same sentence. But I'll ensure Taylor gets your feedback on the article.
I would counter that the reasoning is that by allowing free games, then critics are able to do more reviews and give more press to both good and bad games. It doesn't limit their ability to expand.
The only people that requiring full payment of games would hurt are the smaller critics that most people consider to be 'honest'. IGN would not be to badly impacted by this, nor would any other major outlet. However smaller outlets (such as The Gaming Heretic) most assu...
I wouldn't have an all consuming job that I watch at a bi-hourly basis if this were true! I think we would actually lose alot. Games can make people question things, make them react different to situations, and even create social change. I think the loss of Video Games would be pretty detrimental.
Hah, There are a couple of these that I don't know I would qualify as 'Christmas'. They are definetly a good lot though, lots of choices and all that. If only I had time to only play games every Christmas!
Unfortunately, This fight is as old as time. It also is amazing to me how developers can be so short sighted to think that reviewers are out to get them. I understand the emotion that is tied to putting your heart and soul into something. However, if it's bad - it's bad. That's just the way it is. Even reviewers like 'Angry Joe' (from The Angry Joe Show) aren't out to destroy games. You can truly tell he loves it when a game is awesome.
Also, speakin...
I would have to agree.. I am not even sure I get the joke with in the trolling.
Thus why its an opinion piece. It's a reflection of the overall frustration with the most recent issues with Destiny and other games.
