Awesome trailer, the music is very Steve Jablonsky-ish.
I was thinking of that just now. I would say Glenn Beck would be the first.
Mooks, that screenshot you posted of MGS4 was from a 2006 build.

Snake's model has gone through some iterations, which include (but not limited to) facial alterations, re-texturing work, etc. Notably the color of his Octocamo (default) went from a black to a more navy blue.
I can confirm this as well; downloading it right now (US Store).
That character under the Randy Styles ID looks awfully familiar...
Maybe he will. ;)

I agree. The atmosphere (art direction, sound effects, lighting) of that caliber alone is something that I haven't seen done as well anywhere else. Introducing stealth elements certainly fits the horror survival genre as it conveys a greater sense of helplessness, as the majority of enemies are practically impossible to kill.
Not to mention the series has the pedigree which includes the creator and some team members of the original Silent Hill.
It was a different submission before, this was a dupe and it got changed to what it is now.
Here's the link to the old story that was being commented on: http://www.escapistmagazine...
He said it years ago.
They're independent.
Wow, I'm impressed. Who would have thought?
Yes it does.
Are you referring to the tech demo from E3 2005? If so, that's just what it is.
Very impressive looking. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.
On a side note, the male lead looks strikingly familiar to Death Note's L.
It is, but from CoD4.
I was just thinking that as well. Mamoru Oshii, the critically acclaimed director of both the first and second Ghost in the Shell movies is a big name over there. I wouldn't be surprised if Killzone 2 was mistakenly associated as an adaptation of his Kerberos franchise.
You can find his related works here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
I have the PS3 one right next to me, though my scanner is acting up. Of course majority of these are rough ETAs.
The Power Rangers began airing in the states in 1993. The franchise itself (Super Sentai) was around as early as the 70's.

Even the Jin-Roh designs (Protect Gear) had their share of inspiration from Darth Vader, The Chinese National Revolutionary Army, and some others.
The protagonist looks awfully familiar...
Throw in the darker art direction of Hyper Dimension (SNES) and it'll be perfect.
