i find it incredibly hard to believe that the only option available was to shut down PSN then build a new framework.
It's like removing access to the PS3 and its features until they'd written a new firmware update
probably because millions of people have potential access to the beta for it due to MoH...
Five baseless rumours responded to with five baseless responses
"i don't think this is even responsible to decrytpt encrypted credit card details".
yeah it is and it happens often
probably because people are trying to find answers and Sony isn't giving any out
Sony could turn this around really well if their PR was as good as their games.
but it's not, it's a crock of shite.
you make out as if good films are out at the moment
the "hackers" that many suspect to be doing it, Anonymous, has denied involvement.
Which is STRANGE, because they are usually the ones bragging about hacking stuff, I know I would.
There's no evidence about who did it, or even if it was hackers that brought down PSN, but Sony are known for lying when something goes wrong.
ApocalyPS3 anyone?
"umm yeah, we are going to work as hard as we can to fix the issue"
*the...
I wish VALVe didn't have to use PSN to allow for Steam users who bought PS3 copy to register their free PC version.
I've yet to see Steam get hacked into and shut down, but that's probably because VALVe are on the right side of the "hacking" community
I don't think they could have produced a map good enough to justify the price anyway
I think it fucking sucks that I can't play Portal 2 on PC because PSN went down the day I got my PS3 copy.
Just because it is a free service has no basis for stability, a load of websites running on Amazon Web Services went down and are STILL down including Reddit and Giant Bomb and people are absolutely livid.
And why shouldn't we be, you know roads can be seen as a free entity, sure you pay tax but still does that mean no one can compain when there are roadworks?
people don't buy PCs just for graphics, I myself did because I really liked the control scheme, the exclusives (I love Minecraft, TF2 and Starcraft) freedom for crazy mods and shit like that.
Also Steam/Digital Distribution is awesome.
I think it is more up to publishers, who care a lot about profit, and everyone knows where the money is right now
some in the PC community would argue that is because the progression in games as far as graphics in multiplatforms have come to a halt in the past few years.
The difference between Quake 3 (1999) and Half Life 2 (2004) was HUGE, but since then games have looked quite similar.
The more people that are capable of playing PC games though is great, stuff like Torchlight can probably run off a toaster :)
Because Direct X 11 hasn't been around for very long
hopefully he allows people to transfer their previous purchase to Steam, like what they are doing for Natural Selection 2 (beta bought through developers, code is entered through steam to add to steam account library)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This guy thinks VALVe care about sales.
none of which are available or viewable if you play cross platform LOL
complains about overhyped games...
inb4 console owners who honestly think the PC version won't have graphical settings with varied levels that will allow Bethesda to market the game to many different levels of hardware, and think Skyrim won't be beautifully modded as much as Oblivion was.
Enjoying your Horse Armor console dudes, I rode a dragon in Oblivion yesterday ;)
because Bethesda are so poor.
How come companies like VALVe take risks.
oh it's because they care...
Virgin Media are notorious for throttling internet speed.
Maybe Virgin have already decided to ditch Net Neutrality?
