They make money from the point system. Think for a moment. If you had to buy a 12usd DLC and they used to money system you would make your purchase and be done with it.
However with the point system. You never really buy the exact number of points you need. You mostly always buy more. Which means Microsoft is left with some of your money. They may as well keep earning interest on this money. Mean while you are now forced to use that money at a later date.

While i havent played uncharted. I seen people playing it. I think the game has something special and i would love to play it. However i dont own a Playstation nor am i a fan of it.

Lol dude i have seen GOW3 running its not as good looking as the PS3 fangirls would like veryone to belive. Infact like t850 said aside the main character everything else looks last gen. Any PC multiplat out does GOW3 by miles.
Agreed PC is the superior experience.

A graphics card to beat whatever the PS3 can do will cost you 100usd. Add that to any dual core rig and you are set for 1080p gaming. Dual core rig these days will cost you 300usd.

Consoles have become locked down PCs. As many of the parts they do use are old PC techs.

you can use any controller with the PC be it:
DS3
xbox controller
wii controller
or any 3rd party controller
cause it only does everything.. including giving you a choice on which controller suits you the best.

While 720p might sound a whole lot to console users in reality it was standard back in the late 90's

no where and as the posters above mentioned the games are there to stay. I could come back to these games a decade later and still play them. Cant have that sort of BC with any console.

lol true, who wants to wait for console companies to take their time then release patches for every game, while on PC a huge list of games ae 3D ready and PC hardware actually is capable of running the game at decent FPS. Where on consoles it looks like Sony is just trying to get another check mark to promote its product.

When crysis came out it maxed out every gpu out there. Today even mid range gpus run the game fine.
