I can't stress how ludicrous that comparison is. If you had any inkling of knowledge on the tech FFXV is running you would be ashamed to make that comparison. NO open world game, let me stress that, NO OPEN WORLD GAME, possibly even not open world, is trying to do what FFXV is doing with hair/clothes/fluids simulation, while having no load times afer the initial one, while rendering full 3D skies, tons of VFX, amazing dynamic lighting (difuse, specular, reflections, shadows), physical bas...
Final Fantasy XV has been in development for around 4 years....not 10. They had to redo everything from the ground up, including the engine.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is a separate thing altogether from the regular photo mode. I think it was confirmed somewhere that every party member will have a "hobbie" of sorts it seems, in order to ground them more and make them interact with each other. Gladio will be a sparing partner/technique teacher, Ignis is like the cook/glossary, and Prompto likes to take pictures.
I mean, when the so called "donwgraded" version looks like it does, IMO the best looking open world game yet with global lighting, with physical based rendering, dynamic weather and night/day cyle, destructive/flamable/conductiv e properties for different materials, cloth and hair physics and some of the best animations in gaming to date and a huge scale and attention to detail to boot, it is a bit hard to acknowledge anything but a tremendous effort and merit on SE's part. Trul...
Vaan isn't angsty at all, quite the contrary even. He is only mad at Basch for a very small portion of the game....Guess you need to replay it.
Well, FFXV seems to be going that way, with Tabata mentioning in a recent interview that he wants to make gameplay and story progression seamlessly connected.
Am I supposed to laugh?
By all means, it is almost guaranteed to be a great game, but for it to be the best game of 2016? Amongst FFXV, Persona 5, Uncharted 4, Scalebound, Nier Automata, No man's Sky, The witness, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, possibly Starfox and Zelda and many many others, including VR games? No way. 2016 is shaping up to be the biggest year in gaming ever. Yooka Layle might be one of the best, maybe even the best in its genre, but GOTY?! Not in a millio...
I don't know what they are trying to say in this article. The reason why I like FF is because almost every game is a reboot of sorts... and even if you divide it into "eras" every three games is basically a reboot. 1-3 are widely different from 4-6 and 7-9. After that 10, 12, 11/14 and 13 could basically all be from different series. This is what I like about the series, every game brings something different to the table and (with some exceptions...13) keeps a standard good stor...
I can't stress how bad of a game FF7 would be if they just upped the graphics and sound. When it came out it was an amazing game, but nowadays it is close to being a broken game (several mechanics are very unbalanced and the gameplay is average at best for today's standards, also very few costumization and depth for nowadays). I should know, I 100% it last month. Let SE do what they want with the game. Whatever comes out will be a new and exciting experience, and not just the same old...
Keeping it backwards as usual, I see.
You still have the Yakuza, magic and monsters though!
Actually Square has been going up and up, both in profits, as well as user satisfaction, ever since the end of 2013, so it seems they're not going anywhere, and with the new Deus:Ex, Dragon Quest Heroes, Bravely Default, Final Fantasy XV, Tomb Raider and Dissidia, it seems like they're going to become bigger than ever.
And this is why it will take a very long time till FF series becomes a good seller on the Xbox platforms. I fear KH3 and FFXV may follow suit.
Well, the demo is running on engine Luminous 1.5 and the final game will run in 2.0 so I think there will be plenty improvements.
The final game will have the gambit system, plus party member customization as well as aerial combos and magic, so It won't be shallow, seeing as the magic will also be affected by the weather conditions.
Since people have been waiting for 8 years to get their hands on it, and since it has 4 hours of content.
This article has a mistake on it. There will be a summon in the demo.
They have said that the reason they are working on the demo is because they want the feedback, and they think the battle system should be played and not talked about. Any way to further improve the game is good in my opinion.
Hmmm, maybe it's got something to do with having the biggest and most varied library of all current gen consoles? That can't be true though, seeing as PS4 has no games *hurrdurr* /s
There was a short circuit which cut off video and sound feed. No problem with the game. They said so and imediately restarted the playtrough once it was fixed, but I know you are deaf and blind from the hate you seem to have for this game, otherwise you would know this.
