I don't own an XBOX 360 and I don't know enough about it to prove any points that Microsoft has been loyal to its fans, but I want to comment on another point of mine.
Sony has been constantly delaying many games, and the Playstation Network (at the time of posting this) has some serious issues. I own a PS3 and I love it to death, but it makes me angry that I have to exit a game or go to some main menu in a game to read and respond to messages that people on my PS3 Buddylist send...
The reason those fanboys exist is because most of them are younger people and their parents bought them one of the consoles. When a person only has one of the consoles, they want to feel that the one they have is the best, because it is unlikely they will get to have all of the consoles.
They want to convince others, and with themselves that the console they have is the best, so they can feel good about it.
