They've only shown XIII running on the PS3 hardware and Versus XIII is PS3 exclusive worldwide, not just in Japan so yeah you're right.
Versus XIII looks graphically superior to XIII. Maybe they had to downgrade FFXIII after the multi-platform announcement. Meh. Typical, money hungry Square-Enix.

The difference is PS3 fanboys aren't hyping R2 like it's going to be GOTY. For that they have LBP and MGS4. 360 fanboys on the other hand predicted Gears 2 would score nothing lower than 10 and that it would destroy every PS3 exclusive this year. Lol it won't pass MGS4 or LBP on Metacritic. I know this for sure after reading about the terrible story, endless glitches, 5 hour single player, etc.
