SMT had a niche following. So did persona. They redid persona starting with three to reach an wider audience. Nothing happened with the original SMT and have stayed the way they were. If they were to revamp that main series you could get what happened with soul hackers lol. You want that?

That's a little presumptuous. Sometimes a game doesn't have to be technically optimized to have fun with it. I mean I played it everyday straight from release date to today and it's great. Makes me wish there was a switch pro but I'm having fun.

I'm almost at disbelief with the bad timing of this article. If anything almost 24 hours ago there were confirmations the base game will be available again for sale at the end of this month.
Its more than just a little short sighted it doesn't make sense. Aspects of game AI, narrative, VR, and so forth have always been a core component in game development or something done to a much higher degree than that of accessibility. How many controllers do you see geared towards special needs gamers being sold in major electronic retailers VS a VR headset?

Yeah I don’t get why people are trying to drag down this game so much. From what I’ve seen so far yeah it’s not as great as the first in some ways but holy crap people calm the eff down it ain’t that bad sheesh.
Anyone buying platinum games would NOT make sense. They explicitly stated that the studio was going for a more independent and self publishing direction. They didn't state that just now, they stated sometime when Nier:Automata was still freshly released or announced.

I had fun, and I'd definitely revisit the trilogy if it came out for ps4 as a port or something.
The contract thing is bogus. I work in game retail and all it took for doom eternal and animal crossing to release the day before was approval from the publishers.
There were no contracts. Everyone universally was able to sell doom eternal pretty much the day before it’s supposed release at the start of business day and animal crossing around 5 or 4 pm us central time.
Look it up animal crossing and doom got release much earlier.
If true that’s unfortunate. The game was really good. Not like game of the year or anything. But I was invested in it daily and some story moments really got to me.
