I know what you mean. If that isn't the most stereotypical image of a sexualized/objectified female, than I don't know what is. Like what is the deal with the sexy nurse outfit.

It doesn't surprise me either. Brianna Wu strikes me as an opportunist. She sees a movement starting and wants a piece of the action, so she riles up a bunch of gg'ers to get some backlash. The backlash comes, and all of a sudden she's a victim/spokesperson for feminist gamers.

Translation:

Phil says: It will provide a benefit, then tempers expectations by saying the benefits won't be massive.

Fan boys: Want the benefits to be massive (or none at all depending on your bias), so they try to insert meaning in what Phil says. This is the ugly side of confirmation bias, and the hallmark of a true fan boy.

That looks like a world I want to go out and explore, Skyrim style. I hope this generation we get open world games with these kind of graphics. If we get these kind of graphics with VR, I'm going to have a hard time wanting to live in reality.

The only thing that's even slightly interesting to me on Xbox is quantum break. Quantum break looks good and has an interesting story, but if all it has is the one trick pony of slowing time down by different amounts, I'm not to sure it will be a fun game. I'm also skeptical about it because it's made by the same studio that made Max Payne, and I got so bored playing through it I didn't finish it.

Another rehash of gears and halo makes me bored just think...

Even Peter Molyneux is cautioning against over-promising the Hololens. This is especially ironic considering it's coming from Peter Molyneux.

"It did remind me of [Kinect]. You kind of want to scream 'don't over promise these things'...My fear is that when you actually put the device on you're not as blown away as you should be"

Here is whole article:

Not all the reviewers were so impressed with it:
http://www.engadget.com/201...

What I've gathered from reading multiple reviews of the device is that it can only display it's "holograms' in a small rectangle directly in front of your eyes, your peripheral vision will just be your regular vision. Depending on how big the rectangle is, this will definitely i...

This is the most rational thing I've read about Hololens:
http://www.makeuseof.com/ta...

The hype for this thing is palpable. So many people are projecting their hopes and wishes into this device, I can't help but think this is already on the trajectory of Kinect, over-hyped technology that doesn't do what they claimed it could do.

It sounds like the inevitable skepticism has finally started to sink in. How much can you trust this reveal after the Milo fiasco.

Also, you need to ask yourself, how many T-flops of computing power can a disconnected (battery powered) device of that form factor have. Then, just think of all the computation that needs to take place to accurately track the environment around you, and render 3D objects that stay in relation to your surroundings. Do you honestly believe your go...

You really need to take the time to re-watch the Milo demo (portrayed as real-time). Seriously, go watch it again. It's embarrassing how badly that technology was misrepresented.

This has to be the most moderated article I've ever seen on n4g. Like every third reply is shut down for trolling.

MS does spend money. It's called advertising, and if you get the reputation of crapping on MS or opposing its interests, well I'm sure you can draw the conclusion to what will happen.
