Beta became the new demos, now alphas and early access are the new betas.
The less complete we experience a game the more it has to make up for in the final product. Takes away some of the majesty of a new game too.
Like seeing a sketch of the Mona Lisa before it's painted.
I despised Moonview Highway!
At the very least it means devs are willing to spend that much - and that the funds are available.
Still a huge chasm in the way they're developed and marketed though. Will be an odd feeling when we see a game dev on Graham Norton plugging the next trip A.
No idea. You can pre-order it elsewhere so it can't be too long a wait.
Somewhat ironically, I don't have the patience for speed runs. I'm too lazy to work out the ins and outs of an effective speed run, and I know I'd break something if I screwed up a super important key move.
Don't think it's about strength, just why he wouldn't want to slay them!
I just had to Google them names. I've never played an FF game, nor Dark Souls :(
That's just for installation though isn't it? I can see a five minute load time getting super frustrating!
Some guy worked out on the Dungeon Keeper game that the "best value" box of gems (at seventy quid) only allowed him to mine a few of the games tougher blocks. He'd have to have spent several hundred pounds if he wanted to play the game in a similar fashion to the original
Makes no sense.
The only thing I got genuinely buzzed about was Titanfall, even that's not really much to do with Microsoft themselves.
Did very little finger snapping "Ohhh yeeaah." during MS's conference this year.
If BBC's on there, it'll be via iPlayer.
Going to downloadable. Would think most of the sales will be over Origin for PC, if not all.
Multiple Discs! Like the good ole days!
DoTA 2 was confirmed to be shown at GamesCon this year. Could probably be doing a voice-over for a teaser or something?
That's actually a great sounding idea. I was also thinking of maybe some kind of development fund pool. Where people on Steam pay into a kitty, which is divvied up and granted to developers.
These ambassadors would be a good idea of deciding who that pot goes to.
