The tone is lighter, but as kid Link it makes sense. He lives in a more whimsical world than adult Link. Of course the color has been enhanced for that part of the game, too, but most of these photos have focused on the earlier Hyrule.

Does the Wii have wireless ad-hoc capabilities? Even a USB connector between Wiis would be fine. I just remember that some of the best FPS multiplayer games I had were on Halo 2 locally networked between a few of the old Xboxes with friends.

I knew the textures would take a hit, and bump/normal maps wouldn't be an option, but this is kind of bad! That is supposed to be desert camo in that one pic right?

How much is the DS version going to cost? $45? I know there have been a couple $40 DS games, so this wouldn't surprise me too much.

The story wasn't terrible, it just wasn't implemented well. The amount of conspiracy theory they packed into the game goes beyond the average amount, but the way they presented it doesn't appeal to a lot of people. Also, the way the story unfolded during the mission was a bit underwhelming. Every 5-10 minutes, someone would say something to Ford and then it would die out as quickly as it came. I understand the single player isn't as terrible as some would have you believe, but it just feels s...

Sure the controls are great, but the level designs were subpar, the story was weak and not expanded enough, the enemies were repetitive and relatively stupid and regardless of excuses the game, overall, was generic. I don't care if they were replicating all of DC, they could have at least been more imaginative. It was a good solid game, but it is by no means proof that HVS brought Wii owners up to speed with other shooters regardless of their commendable effort and enthusiasm.

If you think about it, if the reticule is locked in the center, you have no way of knowing where exactly your remote is pointing on the TV (unless there was a separate cursor to represent that). It takes a bit to adjust to the style, but once you learn how, the precision combined with speed is rewarding and the only limitation is your hand eye coordination.

If Nintendo had put the abilities of M+ into the original Wii remote, we wouldn't be having this debate because something other than the IR would have worked like we assumed it would.

Don't say the tech wasn't there. It was. It was too expensive for what Nintendo was shooting for. Can you blame them, though? Nintendo originally thought the Wii would be a tough sell so why waste extra money on extra accuracy?

Unfortunately, because Nintendo had self preservation in mi...

The idea come that this game would have a charge for online play? If you are talking about Pay to Play, that is Nintendo's mark for DLC for games. See My Life as a King or Megaman 9 if you don't believe me. As far as I know, the symbol is just like the WIFI symbol, but red instead of blue and says Pay to Play.

Someone tell me if I am wrong and provide legitimate proof, please.

Nintendo meant to do this or not. If it was a scheduled maintenance, then what the heck were they thinking? If it is server problems, then they need to get on the solution, stat.

At least we got some footage of things to come. I wish there were a few more maps. (Maybe we didn't see them all?) If Metroid on DS had 20 then there is no excuse for any other system to have a shooter with less.

Is Nintendo's phrase for DLC. See "My Life as a King" if you don't believe me. As far as I know, this phrase does not mean a subscription fee for internet play. If so, that is not going to go over well.

I never would have thought that a game from the weakest system of this generation would be considered greater than a game of the same franchise on the most powerful system of this generation.

Do we listen to analysts? They generally come to conclusions about game systems after most people who browse the web for game info do.

"Third party publishers will take some shares from Nintendo."

No sh*t! Everybody has been talking about improved 3rd party support for a couple of months now.

As for the prediction about the Wii 1.5, he is just talking. He doesn't know any better than the rest of us, and as far as I'm concerned, people who analy...

300 million fanboys that would tear down your house and endlessly spam your website for a low score, you would score sequels (that weren't as good) as high if not higher than the first game.

(Nintendo has lots of money)." I thought that little line was funny. I also think Nintendo owes it to Factor 5 to give a little back for the successes of the Rogue Squadron series.

To let people play games off the SD card?!? Look at all the Wii/SD card arguments: Wii owners want it almost more than HD at this point and all Nintendo can say is "we're looking into it". They are not going to change a handheld they just released if they haven't changed a console that came out in 2006.

And in the defense of UMD, if it is removed, there will be no backwards compatibility and people who want to play "early" PSP games will have to buy them again...

That Sega PR guy because he puts some spin on the "new" uses of the Wii remote and PR spin is something HV has been (purposely) avoiding very well. I wish they would interview Eric Nofsinger because he actually worked on the game...

Both did on some levels. The only reason Nintendo is pointed out more is because no one does news stories on TV about specific gamers who switch over.

Nintendo should create something like XNA for the Wii so that the homebrew devs can put out their stuff and let other people try it out. They should have competitions and license the best games for official Wiiware games. I think it would help a lot because the homebrew community would have something to work with and game pirates would have no excuse. That's just my opinion, though...
