you also have to take account of the time it takes to burn those disks, package them (with all the stuff crammed in the box like in Collector's edition) and ship them around the globe for a simultaneous release in stores as diverse as it can be. this takes time, a lot of it. so they have to rely on patches to fix the games they make if they want to respect the schedule. we, on the other hand, just need to wait for a download provided free of charge. from my point of view this is respons...
I hope so, but chances are that those kids future might not be that bright. who do you think BUY human beings? there still is an horrifying large slave market around the globe. :(
Phat 40 gb running 24/7 i never shut it down unless for ifs twice-a-year clearing. It runs folding@home when I not using it at least 3 hour everyday. Pretty tough hardware, IMHO. In fact, I realized about how much I had used it some days ago when i observed that my ds3 was now showing a glossy finish and the thumbs stick doesn't have texture anymore. The kids also gives the blu-ray a beating with countless disc swap/minutes. Phat ps3's are worth any cents of it's price tag a...
That would be nice. We starter to use paypal for our business as it was far less greedy than credit cards company and easier to transit money to our bank account. Fast, simple, priced right, they have my support!
I strictly used psn card before, but with paypal I won't need them anymore. In the end I'm sure I'll spend more because my money will always be available.
The moment in logged into the kz3 MP, was enough of a welcome back programme to me :)
True. Why should we be scared to use our credit cards? As far as i know, ATM's from any bank are being tampered with and account info stolen. I got relatives that had is bank account completely stolen (thousands of $).Yet I don't stop using them as the rest of the world. Visa and MasterCard selling terminals are also frequently targeted and actual money is stolen, yet no one cares about it when it's time to pay. Why? Because In both situations, issuing company provides user prot...
Hey i remember when Quake just got out. Some guy opened an internet café in our town with 8 booth like that running Quake with surround sound and subwoofer. After an hour in that booth, it took days to regain sanity...
Played the MP beta enough to get hooked again as with kz2. I don't understands why people would complain about the controls. I think that having to adapt to control between games is part of what makes you feel you are actually playing a different game. Having to worry about limited sprint time and weighted movements keeps you aware at all times, because you always feels like an easy target.
Also, before complaining, we should keep in mind that the games settings treats...
I had a similar event with our new ipads. Kids (3yr and 6yr) loaded 50$ of games before we knew it. But it was our fault, not Apple's, and heck not even the kid's fault. This lady really turned an humility lesson into an "how to be irresponsible and make other pay for you" lesson. And at 11 years old, I knew that real money was somehow involved in any transaction and the basics of credit cards. This kid was probably not raised, but spoiled...
funny but fake. The point were the foot supposedly made contact with the cat is not close enough to the center of gravity of the cat in order to obtain that trajectory. The cat was "hit" close to the head-neck/shoulder area so it should have made a 180 on itself while attempting to get the heck out of there. Also a cat is somewhat too soft to bounce as it was a soccer ball, too much energy is transfered through the cat's body to break inertia and accelerate that way. In order...
yeah sales really suffers when customers finds an empty shelf . I bought a 360 w/kinect because Move is back-order here since launch date. Not a bad thing though I've always wanted one to sit beside my ps3 and my wii. But my money was spent on kinect instead of move, well until i can get a hold on a pair of Move controller...
Hey that's good news for us here in Quebec city. Over the last five years most of the guys I knew that were starting their business as game developers just got rich , so fast that it is almost unbelievable.
After i got my 360 last month, that's the first game i got. I intended getting it for the ps3, but the price tag of 15$ for a 360 sealed copy was too tempting. A really great game, loving each minutes of it right now!
I just got a 360 w/kinect for the family as an alternative to my PS3 i have since launch. The first thing i noticed was that the user interface is not efficient. Users needs to 'box' their thinking in a GUI. On the 360, online contents is proeminent and intertwined over what it is in your console. On the PS3, online contents and offline contents are obviously understandable. Also, I was disapointed that the kinect cannot control 100% of the console menus. You have to use a limite...
That's why I rarely used the mic. My kids/wife/dogs/cats and everything else always comes in (or as background noise) if I am playing not late enough. I just don't want to bother people with what is happening at home. Also there is always 1-3 players making enough sense in their gameplay so I can enjoy and be helpful. Too much people with a mic just ends in an uninteresting chatroom ruining good moments in a match.
After a first week with the ipad, i can say that while the screen quality and mulitouch are really really good, it won't replace a psp/ds for serious portable gaming. You don't get the feeling that it is a gaming device, but more a "do anything" one. Sure , it will add more gaming on the timer at the end of a week, because I carry it everywhere, but only during time i would not normally pull-out my ds/psp. IMHO, it just contribute to expand the gaming possibility and that ...
I also experienced some glitch, where my characters was stuck in the ground at the hip while NPC where strafing up my head. There was 3-4 other occurences of the same type: horse riding through a fence, character stuck in mid-air or between rocks, etc. Just little annoyance but overall a really great game!
I bought the Ultimate Edition and the download code didn't worked. I got a "Voucher Code already redeemed" on my second try after the site failed to launch once. I called Sony and they said there was known problem with the download. The official fix was to : Look through some community forums because some people got around the issue and follow the same procedure". Thank you Sony for my exclusive content. At least, the awesomeness of the game made me forget very quickly th...
yeah they surely got a couple of macs at the office so they probably already did some testing
Some figures should be put forward. How big is the used games industry vs the new game? Also the rant seems to be directed at game-oriented store not at used games in general. They promote both new and used games sale. The sales numbers could show us if the used game marketing with in-store credit helps selling more new games in the end.
Also, why people worry so much about this issue. Does author/publishers cries about public libraries where the same book can be read by...
