People on this thread are way to shortsighted. Even if a digital download business plan takes 10 years to make mainstream, it pays to be one of the first innovating. Bandwidth is only a temporary issue, in 5-10 years expect wifi to be faster than broadband is at the moment. Look forward people.
the success of the itunes store proves that the mass market does not care about having a physical collection of their media. Big strides are being made in memory storage and once people can carry their entire collection in something the size of a flash drive everywhere they go, then that will be the way to go.
And as far as bandwidth goes, America is behind. The standard is much higher around the world.

wow doodle the only thing you add to conversations is line breaks. The facts are there. Why go to so much trouble to discredit someone who is responsible for many technological breakthroughs. If her work is in anyway responsible for blu-ray, then she deserves to be compensated.

my friends own a 360 and that is who i want to play with. It's also an easy communication tool. Plus I'm an adult and i can do whatever I please with my money. Bells and whistles has nothing to do with the younger generation crck and shortstop, when you don't go to school with your friends anymore it's much easier to keep track of them by a gamertag than a phone number or address. Personally i don't think it's the best but I'm one of those fringe 360 people. But the rest of the world agrees it's the best (#1 in sales). I don't understand all the disagrees for wiizy. I don't agree with the argument that Nintendo is keeping quantities down. They need to sell all they can now, while it is still not a fad.
Cause they're selling a whole lot? They don't have to artificially create demand when they're selling as many consoles as they do. It's already there. Kinda a debate for conspiracy theorists though, because I doubt they are gonna show us their warehouses stocked to the ceiling with Wiis.
I'm looking forward to the extra computing power to go towards better physics like euphoria and that digital molecular matter tech. Combining good not even great graphics plus those technologies is what I'm looking forward too.
How was his question facetious? You apparently don't understand what the word means because i'm pretty sure his question wasn't meant to be humorous or not taken seriously. There is no indication that GT5P or GT5 will be anything redefining to the racing genre. This gameplay looks worse every time somebody posts a video of it.

BTW GT5 will not redefine virtual racing IMO. How could it? It's an online sim racer that only brings great graphics to the table. It's kinda a been there done that kind of thing. GTAIV on the other hand is bringing pedestrians, a living city, and cops into the mix. So yeah, pretty redefining.

I don't think GT5 will redefine racing, but it is redefining itself by bringing online into the mix and. GTAIV will definitely redefine virtual racing. Can you imagine hitting a pedestrian and having them grab onto the hood of your car while trying to beat someone else to the end all the while dodging traffic and cops. That will be a blast.
Some people like games because of the graphics. This guy is way too self righteous and is probably just bitter he got burned by assassin's creed. Appreciating an engine that is attempting to achieve near photo-realistic graphics is not hurting the industry. For a blogger, how does this guy explain the love the mario and smash brothers is getting and the incredible sales of the wii and ds. This guy must just be sick of fanboys because the numbers do not support his statement.

on topic - great work in ironing out any bugs in order to get these out to the masses
they make great hardware with sleek interfaces. And they have eccentric leaders that like to push technology into places we didn't even know we wanted until they make it.
A bad way they're alike is the way they make third party devs jump thru hoops to get the same support the first party does.
