Interesting fact about the sales for fallout on pc.... if you take a look here http://vgsales.wikia.com/wi... you can see fallout sold 107,000 copies in retail for october and even if you only add up steams numbers you get over 400,000 copies sold! This was enough to outpace the PS3 version by alot and maybe even the 360 if you could count all the copies sold.
PC ftw
:(
CBC has been trying really hard to get technology / game related news out on its website (presumably to get young kids to vote liberal jkjk :P) but its very nice to see in any case.
go Canucks!
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUU
Love me some civ5! especially the developer walk through kind!
Well said alpha! pc gaming does get the short of the stick sometimes but that might just be because there is no controlling company or figurehead that produces pc's unlike the ps3 and 360 whom have micrsoft and sony to back them up while pc is independent of ownership.
Ill add you leon :P *MajorSlinkey*
Maybe :D
Blizzard said during the beta for highest graphically settings (ie max everything out) you need a 3870 or a 8800GTX. I was in the beta and I played with a 3870 with everything turned up and got 35-45 fps avg and only dipped below 30 curing the higher player count matches.
Steam has a full backup feature that lets you create dvd/cd/blu ray disks of any of your bought games (so really converts them to retail disk form) or you can always just transfer your steamapps folder to save downloading everything again :D (you might need an external harddrive if you have lots of games installed)
Valve has been known to *unofficially* say that they will unlock all of the games in your library if they ever close down (aka they will be like regular pc games without the need for steam)
People need to migrate to pc gaming for their multiplatform needs like I have in the recent years :D Back in the fall of last year I couldnt keep up with the stream of releases for my ps3 (both exclusive and multiplatform) so I decided to build a pc for not only the interesting pc exclusives ( http://www.giantbomb.com/cr... ) but also the cheap multiplatform games from steam deals (just look at ...
Saw this earlier on a bad feed so this is great seeing it in more detail!
*edit* ops thought this was about the video preview ign put up lol
Play hl2 with awesome steam achievements and bask in its 2004 gameplay glory
Only bad part is I have to get a 3ds to get the 2nd game probably :( *sulk*
Cool! whats your website address? and what kind of educational software? like the old math blaster games? :D
LOL
Never saw this coming at all...
wonder what the unique numbers are for console... almost 300,000 sounds comparable to console rpg sales and that's only unique... there is probably upwards of 1 million copies sold on PC alone if not more!
