Which game offers everything that's packed together in this game? And which successful game in recent times did something that was never done before?
@sushimama Cool, my comment has ZERO to do with console wars. All I said is the fact that he usually does not comment on third party game posts, yet he did here... thanks to the amount of attention this game is generating.
Isn't so complicated to understand, right?
"Also, everyone loves this developer" - You would be surprised, man. Many people love to shit on them because of their work culture.
Also, many people are simply dissing this game because t...
This non PS exclusive game managed to make you drop a hate comment, I see that as an absolute win.
Really shows how much attention this game is generating.
@FlavorLav01 Of course.
"Sucked" is a very strong word to use here. You can't just expect the tightness of a 20-30 hour long game from a 100+ hour long branching RPG with varied combat options. That's just unreasonable.
These games essentially sacrifice a few elements to achieve long worldbuilding, branching story, and varied combat approaches, essentially often providing 'just serviceable' core combat loop that gets outshined by other parts of the ...
"not sure why this game is so hyped if anyone could explain to me?"
Beacuse it's a gigantic open-world RPG and there have been many masterpieces in this genre that don't have good gameplay?
Problem is, the hype behind the game often makes us forget what it actually is. This is supposed to be something like deus ex/ fallout, not call of duty/battlefield.
Yeah man, we got so many Batman games in the last 5 years that I'm totally bo... oh wait!
@Rachel_Alucard Having optional content and achievements in linear games is a very very old thing. Most of those can be easily ignored and the beaten path can be followed, like in case of metro or final fantasy. Metroidvania styled games with optional levels and backtracking is also a very old design. I don't see how it's a new trend or something.
Yet you would struggle to find more than 3-4 singleplayer games per year that last more than 20-25 hours for a normal playthrough. In 2019 on the longer side we had,
Borderlands 3 (Not really open world)
Sekiro (Not open world either)
Death Stranding
Days gone
On the relatively shorter side we had,
Control
Resident evil 2
Star wars
Gears 5
Outer Worlds
DMC 5
Metro ex...
"When it comes to attention to detail and overall quality ,no one is touching rockstar games"
Is that why their games can't even become the best games of the release years?
Except you can pretty much complete the 'action shooter' game your own custom cyberninja... a complete melee and stealth based character.
At least follow the game properly before forming an opinion.
Why are you always commenting these at every cyberpunk thread? Do you have something personal against Cdpr or do you have some insider information?
I'm legitimately curious.
"so they're trying to avoid showing as much as they can in order to trick people into thinking it's a third person game"
Meanwhile a complete 1 hour long first person demo is floating around in the internet, more pre-release footage than a lot of games get in its entire marketing period.
What a logical argument.
Forza Horizon says, "am I a joke to you?"
Interesting argument because Sekiro is definitely mechanically more complex than Bloodborne.
This game will release on ps4.
'first person shooter'
Oh wow, that explained a lot.
Hate to break it to you, but fortnite earned only a small portion of what epic is worth right now.
They are not going anywhere with that unreal engine cash.
@Blu3_Berry not if someone offers you a large chunk of cash upfront for a completely new IP and promises you to give a significantly larger amount of cash per every copy.
You can try to play the good guy then but that's not how business works.
Serves them right.
This is one of the poorest production quality I've seen in a while. Characters looking like bootleg action figures, zero facial emotions, skipping the complex animation scenarios with black fade outs, laughable running animation, clothes sticking/clipping with body and what not.... now add the gameplay that becomes rather repetitive after a while.
And guess what, they still have the audacity to charge full price for this game becaus...
I don't know man... Nanite essentially cuts off authored LODs and replaces them with real-time LOD calculations. Theoretically, this removes asset pop-ins entirely (Which is still pretty evident in most of the games if you look closely).
That's something to be excited about.
