This thing happened to me 2 nights ago so I have to quite game but in doing so it froze my PS3 and restarted automatically, I filmed it too :)
I won't be buying anymore COD's until they sort out the connection for multiplayer on the PS3, the lag was overwhelming last night, unplayable!!! It fact must would say it would be like buying a fridge that does not work....
Another 4 maps another 4 ways to lag when it comes out on the PS3, thanks Treyarch but I'll stick to the maps I already got to be honest.
Yes all very excited about First Strike DLR release tomorrow oh wait a minute unless you have a PS3 or PC then your not. Ha new maps, keep em man I'm not purchasing them when it's released on PS3.

I downloaded the patch last night, played about 10 games and got one connection error message which threw everyone out the game. During a couple of the other games it was finding a new host but did not disconnect like it would before, let's see how it goes, again as I've posted before PS3 players should get First Strike for free as a gesture of good will as we've been so let down.
Disgraceful comments from Patchter, it's us as gamers who figure out the bugs in the game and have the decency to report them to the developers who on this occasion with CODBO have just done very little to sort it out, I mean the new 1.06 patch just released says no live xbox chat on the PS3, if that's not a kick in the teeth I don't know what is. PS3 gamers have been completely screwed over on this game and I think we should be given the First Strike for free as a gesture of good...
And the continuousness fails keep piling up and up. It's obvious they're tweaking the xbox version for the PS3 needs and not checking properly before they put it out. I'm embarrassed for them, can't believe what a complete fail this version has been for PS3 but I still think PS3 rules over the xbox any day of the week including weekends :P
I got to say I would prefer a 2 year break between the COD series so they can at least spend a bit more time thinking the game through rather than rushing it for Christmas sales.

Well xbox certainly has first dibs on the new maps and xbox as far as I'm aware has a more close relationship with call of duty so their servers are going to be taken care of much better. The connection issue is a problem when you start a contract say to get 50 kills with assualt riffle within say 40 mins and you get disconnected half way though and your kills don't get carried over to the next game but the time to complete the contract is taken away, that's a major flaw for me wh...
It's a shame that a good franchise has been completly let down by the online gameplay which at times is just unplayable. The connection isssue needs to be sorted without question. You can just see from the release of First Strike which console they're putting before the rest, need I say more....

Hmmmmmm CODBO committed to PS3......? Well that's a load of cr*p considering they are only offering the First Strike option to xbox users and not PS3 till god knows when, if that's not a slap in the face to PS3 users then I don't know what is. Also Treyarch you need to sort out the constant glitches on the game one of which people are disconnecting towards the end of the game when their losing which crashes the game.
Thing is xbox players are paying a massive subscription fee for the pleasure to play on top of buying the console, it's an out right scam and that is why I own a PS3. Long gone are the days you brought your console, brought your game and that was it i.e no buying extras for the game like maps etc you just brought your game and that was it, all included. By releasing these maps anyway they are completly dividing the Black Ops community. I also think it's out of order to release on Microsoft first leaving PS3 gamers in the cold and for that reason I will not be purchasing the new maps.
I've been having connection problems since day one of purchase with the new CODBO. Sometimes the lobby shuts down before the game starts or the 'connection error' message comes up during the game, I've tested my connection and all tests come back ok. I've noticed it happens more when more people are online but that's no excuse, they should account for the large amounts of people playing online. What on earth are you people talking about? It wouldn't surprise me if N4G got a bunch of people to post unsupportive comments because their bitching about not getting the game for free to review, no doubt a lot of reviewers will now score it low because they think they're entitled to a free copy and didn't get one before release, if not ever.
