IMO the very best game in all XBox library. Soon to be part of PS3 as well.
Glad to have more people enjoy the journey. Please tell the frieds all about it so we're all guarenteed next iterations of this awesome saga.
This is what next-gen gaming is all about.
Seems just too asinine for anyone to actually care about what a corporation does or does not do when the company's actions (rolling out Natal) have no bearing on the person's well being (anti Natal trolls, who by definition do not own an XBox).
I had originally thought that these individuals may actually be Sony paid shills, but their stance is just too arbitrary and idiotic to be motivated by paid pro-Sony bias.
I think these folks are actually p...

He says he can't talk about it. I can't wait for the E3 announcements.
I just accessed it. It is more detailed than anything else I've seen on the web.
Natal + large screen plasma + high level gaming dev should result in an experience a lot more immersive than this:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The field of view (FOV) of the screen actually shifts as the player is moving. When the player is moving left-right, the screen is moving left-right, when the player's head is moving up-down, the screen is also.
This shows advanced stages of head tracking/FOV shift which should theoretically provide a highly immersive environment. This is like the video ala Johnny Lee 5493d ago 0 agree5 disagreeView comment
Am impressed with the lag free nature of the item. Seems like there is a substantial and noticeable difference between today's vid and WSJ's vid posted yesterday(?)
I suspect that the lag free nature has to do with the clear lighting of this scenario vs. yesterday's stage scenario.
Now ME2 is the best.
In for about 10 hours now. I'm not sure how they're going to top this in ME3 but one guess would be multiplayer.
If that happens, I'm getting another 360 (don't like split screen all that much).
is its asinine name.
Haven't bought any games for that blue-pulsing-lame-wagging-peri phery-money-sucking-battery-dra ining-piece-of-mario-dump-conso le for a year.
If I hated it just slightly less, I would mod it but there's not even a single game that I'm interested enought to go through the trouble of modding.
Sony is primarily an appliance maker.
Nintendo is a toy maker.
Apple is a fantastic integrator/polisher/finisher of hardware and software.
MS and Google are software and algorithm companies.

Perhaps a bit of hyperbole on my part; nonetheless, I stand by my main points.
Perhaps you don't realize quite the level of expertise and excellence that MS has in computer vision field. Their Chinese lab entrants regularly win best of conference in CV (that's short for Computer Vision) symposiums. The reason they don't win more is that they only showcase a single, years-old algorithms from their labs.
Natal is the first commercial application that they're showcasin...
@zack,
What we have here is a lack of imagination.
In your future, you will find that most people that you are exposed to have a serious lack of imagination. If you are bright, you will realize that this fact is true more quickly than others.
Even if you realize this (and so are more intelligent than most), it will not help you in any way. Like myself, you and 99% of people will not have enough creative brains to think up something truly imaginativ...
Wonder why the disagrees?
Could it be that Sony's paid shills are down grading my post as it cuts too close?
In current economic situation, I can't believe that there are actual Sony/Nin (a foreign company with mostly foreign workforce) proponents in USA willing to risk American jobs at an American company (MS), purely for their own selfish pride.
Don't be stupid, America. If you're going to be supporting foreign companies and foreign tech, know that GM...
Title reads : Iwata 'turned down Natal tech'
It should read : Iwata 'turned down Natal "LIKE" tech'
Key components (software algorithms for object tracking) of Natal has been in development for a very long time in MS. MS purchased 3DV for as insurance for future potential lawsuits as well as preventive measure against Sony/Nin getting a 1/2 way catchup tech against Natal.
Software in 3DV is no where near the sophistication of Natal but with Sony/Nin...

No one will mistake his charism with Obama's but Sony seems to be following his advice.
Devs had Natal for a while now and seems like the response is very positive.
I personally can't wait until I can do Gears or ME or Halo with head tracking 3d perspective; I suspect that it'll look pretty cool and be a highly immersive experience. I suspect it'll be as natural as the 2nd analog stick camera control.
I'm excited as hell for it.
I'd rather like perspective 3D emulation much more so than shutter-based-3D.

Natal is built for this.
And 20in vs. 54in.
More comfort and more screen size.
My exposure to MS devs leads me to believe that folks working on these games and peripherial are much more intelligent than the normal folks on the internets...
I'm exposed to MS biz/dev/qe/support folks quite a bit. I've not been exposed to the gaming personnel all that much, though. In my experience, they've all be top notch at their respective fields.
One interesting note that I'll convey is that that DirectX dev and XBox gaming dev are two of the most hig...
