Dude, RE:D was great fun...I didn't particularly think the first CG movie was amazing, but once you get into the third act of this movie, holy crap it was amazing to watch. Makes me hope they bring back *cough* into the games again.

I'm glad to see the game is getting reviewed according to its own merits and not being judged on previous entries. in my opinion the demo was some of the most fun I've had playing a third person shooter this year.
Plus, seeing how much content and re-playability is in this game...I think it's safe to say I'll be playing it a fair amount after beating it. I'm really agreeing with all the review scores.

To be fair they already mentioned she has "regenerative abilities" in the demo, most likely to her having the G-Virus. I think what was shown in the trailer was to shock people into thinking she would die, but then you realize, "Oh wait, she can regenerate and heal herself, dang the trailer pulled a fast one on me."

Horror is subjective, but as a genre there are elements that make something classified in "horror genre". I can go through the "Horror" section of Netflix and like 80% of that stuff isn't scary to me, but I'd still classify it as horror.

I think MGS is kind of over the top to begin with. So, now we're given control of a cybernetic ninja...think about that for a second, a freakin' mechanical ninja. Why wouldn't you take that concept and run with it making it a crazier "Ninja Gaiden" ...
No offense but you act like nobody likes this game and because it's a game you don't want or like, Capcom is this super evil organization that wants to upset "fans".
I think the game is great from what I've played and seen. so, in my case Capcom legitimately made a great game, it doesn't feel like they're "just milking it$$$$$$$$" and yeah, I whole heartily support them for making a game I really like and want. So, good for them!!
Yay for RE6 and good job Capcom. This game will be amazing and quite satisfying.

Let's not get off topic here. It's about the people complaining about the lack of advertising. Now, my two cents, there's been a crap-load of advertising for this game so either someone's not watching enough television or surfing game sites because this is kind of everywhere.

Honestly, this game looks pretty f'ing good compared to games like Spec Ops or Final Fantasy 13-2 (2 games I think looked good, btw, but not like phenomenal).
What are you so fixated on that is bad? I can see some lo-res textures, but with the amount of geometry and expansive environments, that's actually something normal.

I'm an XBOX 360 fan, but there's no denying it, the PS3 version looks richer and sharper. The 360 has a very washed out look and maybe even slightly lower texture resolution (i mean super slight), but without having a juxtaposed comparison, I would never be able to tell this sort of difference playing it on my TV.
I've been playing the 360 demo and it doesn't looked "washed" out like it does in these pictures and since I prefer the 360, it won't ...

Um...isn't that the point of evolution? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure evolution is a gradual change in the characteristics and development through a process like mutation, natural selection, etc.
Now I'm no scientist, but isn't that sort of what the series has done in form and mechanics. If you want to put it scientifically only the "strongest mechanics" adopted by the modernization of game design survived.

24/7 seems a bit much, but in Crimson's defense...don't you kind of do that in RE3 and doesn't the Jake/Sherry portion of the game pay homage or could even be a throwback to that element of RE3?
I mean, from what I saw in a gameplay vid they weren't running "24/7" but were holding down the cabin from some stag beetle looking mo'fo's.
