Power don't mean jackshyt if you don't have much to show for it. Thank 3rd party for what little it has b/c 1st party is lacking.

Man, I still remember playing the original Blaster Master. Reminded me alot of playing OG Metroid. I really enjoyed exploring the world by vehicle, then hoping out on foot and still having those classic boss battles. Unlocking new abilities and being able to revisit old areas and finally being able to access them. Games like this is what made me fall in love with gaming as a kid.

Consumer friendly to me means creating a product that consistently DELIVERS (not just has the potential to deliver) what it is made for. In this case, it is the games. Everything else is is just smoke & mirrors or fluff.

No...no it's not. Plain and simple, XB had a window where it got to feel the sun on its face. Then Sony stood up for a hot second to stretch, blocking XB's shine and sat down again. If you are only winning b/c the other is not saying/doing much...is that really winning? Just the little glimpses Sony has shown us has garnered way more attention than anything XB has. We have yet to see the console itself, what it is fully capable of, as well as what first party games will look and play ...

Feel like GOT is going to be a treat. Really looking forward to stumbling across the boss/mini-boss battles scattered around the world waiting to be discovered. If the encounter with the falling red leaves with approaching army backdrop is only a taste of what's to come...sheesh.. gonna be so good!

Agree! I am really anticipating seeing what a first party developer will do with the new tools available at their disposal. So far, the next-gen games shown so far display subtleties, such as improvements to lighting, better reflections, increased particle effects and higher resolutions. But I am yet to see these pulled together in a way that blows my socks off. I am hoping the first 1st party reveal for the PS5 will be Horizon 2. I think that will pull together a nice combination of tech and...

The closer we get to next-gen platforms being released, we start to see more games revealed. As that happens, I see more and more comments about games not looking "next-gen". I generally get what it implies, but what does that mean to you? Expectations for future games are (understandably) very high due to the tech that will be available. Between games like this, Outriders and Godfall, the reactions are similar. So again, what boxes would need to be checked off to define a next-gen ...

Beautiful place! I visited Medellin a couple of years ago and also stayed in Poblado. Weather is fantastic since it's surrounded by mountains which lend to the city's verticality. Was always in the 70s. Food was amazing and cheap! American dollar goes a long way there. Large ex-pat community.

I think another large driver for this decision is ND really doesn't want the story to be spoiled...so they want as many people as possible to experience it at the same time. Right now, anyone who preordered a physical copy is at risk to not receive day 1. You know the walkthroughs and livestreams are going to go up immediately from digital copies. Some A-hole will post a spoilerific thumbnail of the end. That's the internet for you!

100% agree! As much as I was looking forward to TLOU2, it gives me time to dig into the catalog and try some games I never got around to. There's some solid titles on sale now for $20.

So what you're saying is that you just can't TFLOP and muscle your way through everything? Well how about that? LMAO!

Even IF the power advantage goes to XB, it will make zero difference just as it did this gen. XB1X is slightly more powerful than a PS4 Pro, but has very few applications to set it apart. I've said it time and time again...the difference is the strength of Sony's stable of 1st party studios vs. Thise under MS. Talent is on a whole other level.

Fanboys have jobs too. Just another delusional OP-ed. Nothing to see here folks...let's move along. It amazes me how blind some ppl can be.

It really is reaching a fever pitch at this point. Sony has to know it and is holding out until the last second. As much as the media blackout infuriates me, I have to admit that it is masterful at the same time from a marketing perspective. Supply & demand is one of the most basic drivers of business and sales. Right now, we are going through a demand on information and Sony is absolutely controlling that spicket of information.

No denying those are some heavy hitters right there! So excited to see how all of this is actually going to unfold as the year progresses...the conclusion of this gen and the start of the next.

Although I will definitely be picking up TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima day 1, I am highly interested to see what the inevitable patches will bring to optimize these already incredible looking titles for the PS5.

For the vast majority of people who will be watching any major PS5 reveals online, whether it be hardware or games, remove E3 and insert livestream of choice. Done. Venue really does not matter. YouTube vids will be up for any unable to watch live. Chill with that "grave" BS...not that serious.

I've stated at least a couple of times that this game was ahead of it's time. The features of this game set it a part from other shooters. The leadership structure and the special abilities set aside for them made having higher ranks more rewarding (as long as you knew how to strategically deploy those resources). Capping points meant something (radar sites keeping air defenses intact, Comms centers opening up squad/company leader options, etc). Multiple platoons spawning at different...

I completely get it. I am a huge PS fan and have always supported them. I WANT those 1st party offerings to remain exclusive. I guess for me personally, I am always looking forward, so long after I platinum a game and done everything I can get out of the game, I'm interested in what's next. A game 3 years old going to PC isn't cutting into why I will buy a PS5. I would have had my fun with that game and would be ready for the next 3yr exclusive at that point. Again, I completely g...

If Sony allowed their 1st party games to release on PC [3] years after they release on PS5, there's a part of me that's ok with that. I think there's talk of HZD coming to PC this Summer. We've had plenty of time with it, tons of videos and walkthroughs already out there. I would be down for it to support the developers in getting as much as they can financially out of their game. 1-2 years...nope, but 3 years I'm fine to share at that point. No less.
