104 disagrees for saying common knowledge stuff. This site doesn't even try and hide it's brand loyalty holy shit.
None of what you said is correct.
Nintendo lost 3rd parties back in the 64 days, because Sony switched to discs which were cheaper for 3rd parties to develop for and produce.
Nintendo made money on the Gamecube, as they sold them at a profit. I believe this gen is the only time they've ever lost money on a console ever.
What's your comparison for 3rd party games selling worse on GCN compared to Xbox/PS2, leading to the BS label ...
Halo and hype sold the Xbox, DVD player and Guitar Hero sold the PS2. Gamecube didn't have a fad that could garner a media presence like the other two consoles did, but they most definitely had a just as good if not better line-up.
@Shin-Zantetsuken I'm sure you have no issue with Sly Cooper or Ratchet and Clank though. Your entire thing reads as 'oh god if anyone sees me play a bright vivid game I'll be so embarrassed', you sound super insecure.
That's generalizing. Legend of Zelda is a different breed from Pokemon, they have different games for different tastes and none are bad. They are too kid friendly though, lots of handholding and pandering to younger crowds.
Seeing that the first one on his list is a Nintendo thing... yeah.
