I hope Insomniac doesn't get too badly burnt by this game. There aren't many people interested in Fuse aside from their fans, and most of them haven't been too pleased with the demo. I've purchased damn near every Insomniac game they've made, and even I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to buy Fuse. If I do, it will be out of respect for their past efforts.
No region locking.. it's a beautiful thing, really.
I got charged for Alien Breed. I best get my money back.
Precious few people know/care about Fuse. I love Insomniac but I can't see this game selling well at all.
I have to strongly disagree here. I really enjoyed Dragon's Dogma, but Capcom asking $40 for what will more than likely amount to $10 worth of DLC is ludicrous. People like us who supported this new IP are getting blatantly ripped off. I won't tell you not to buy it, but I hope you realize that you're encouraging them to do the same thing for future releases.
I really hope Tecmo doesn't screw over Western fans somewhere down the line. NISA has been exceptionally kind bringing over Gust games, and I'd hate to see that fall apart.
It's a nice looking cover, but it doesn't go well with the game at all.
Their consoles sure haven't. The N64 sold significantly less than the Saturn in Japan, and the Gamecube barely had a presence.
This game isn't developed by GungHo. It's developed by Game Arts, just like Ragnarok Odyssey, Grandia, and Lunar.
"A common complaint with previous models of the PlayStation 3 was that the console was very noisy." Uhh? I had a launch 20gig model which I replaced with a slim last year due to the video card starting to crap out, and unless it was extremely hot in the room, neither PS3 is audible at all.
How about enjoying the same game everybody else enjoyed instead of whining about resolutions and frame rates?
I have a gaming rig, and even I can't stand the entitled behavior of PC gamers. They think developers should jump through hoops to give them an all around better experience. The PC version of Dark Souls is for people who don't own a PS3 or Xbox 360. These people are lucky that the game is being ported at all, but hey, go ahead and pirate it. I really don't care. Bad sales will just ensure that you never see another Souls game again.
The sales are nowhere close to what the series usually pulls off in a week. It's not hard to see why considering it's an MMO with a subscription fee. The fact that the Wii is practically dead at this point doesn't help matters. I can't help but wonder why Square Enix would opt to jump through so many hoops to put a game like this on the Wii. Surely it would have been much more beneficial had they simply made a regular Dragon Quest game.
Glad I stopped paying. Their business model is nothing but corporate greed that relies on the ignorance of consumers.
This was a fantastic, informative, and even somewhat personal read. I wish these guys all the luck in the world on their future projects.
Great game? By what standard? It's the most ho-hum lazily put together FPS I've played since Rogue Warrior. Should I cut it some slack for being a handheld game? The Vita is a very capable platform and the fact that this game exists to ruin its reputation is flat out insulting, especially since Insomniac has worked so hard to make it a respectable franchise among the PlayStation community.
If this game qualifies as a ten, then most games qualify as a ten.
After playing through about half the game, I'm not going to say that Destructoid's review was necessarily "right", but they hit on every issue that I personally have with the game. It's a ho-hum FPS that doesn't come anywhere close to the heights the console, and even PSP Resistance games hit.
Cool, I hope it turns out well. It certainly looks good from what I've seen.
Far Cry Instincts is better than the original. The only thing the original had going for it was open ended levels.
