I'm still undecided about which console to buy, as I like both the PS3 and XBOX 360 now, but I definitely do not like to plug-in the PS3 controller when it's out of juice. The cord is too short! I've used the Xbox recharge kit, but I had trouble with the battery packs in the past for it. I eventually switched over to fast rechargeable batteries (15 minutes) with an energizer recharger. They go in quite a few of my son's toys, so we always have extra ones laying around.

If it helps save paper and gas, I'm all for virtual manuals, but when developers don't put the complete control scheme in their little manual or in the virtual version, it is annoying. I forgot the control scheme for shooting the missles in the Silverback and had to go online and look at a forum. I didn't see anything in the manual at first glance to know I was supposed to go to their website to see an online manual. Perhaps I missed it. Even so, I don't want to have to go to ...

This may not be "classic" survival horror (sans tank controls) but it's survival horror. When the creatures attack and can rip your head off or you think you've killed them all, and a sneaky little bast**d stabs you in the back, I can't think of a better genre to classify it as. I liked R4 but not R5. This is something between the two but with better controls.

(demo spoiler)For those saying the armor and guns make you feel invincible, those things don&#...

Thanks for the tip. I never would have known otherwise.

I would pay a quarter for three lives in a demo. Give us the whole game, give us three lives and if we can survive, we play the whole game for a quarter, just like playing in the arcade. Remember when we would (depends on how old you are) go in an arcade and "demo" a game even though we had never played it before? It had those fancy, flashing graphics, cool cabinets, etc... and we didn't think twice about dropping a quarter in there. That said, they would never go for this. Paying f...

Look up 747 laser; it's really really super realistic but not as cool as a Spartan laser.

I hope we can still install each disc so I don't have to listen to the drive/fan cranking away. Like someone said earlier, installing is the way to go so the drive isn't running all the time. I don't know if they meant there was no mandatory install or if it couldn't be installed at all.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm sure GOW3 will be awesome but frankly I'm bored with the series. I played through the first one and loved it. Played the second one but not all the way through and the upcoming game looks like much of the same, just in HD. While the mechanics in Dante's aren't innovative, at least the characters and story will be something new and if it plays as well as GOW, I'll be happy playing it rather than GOW. Call me crazy.

Perhaps Archer will be revealed as the new assassin for AC3 and be playable in both games ;)

I played dynasty warriors for about 15 minutes and didn't care for it myself. While there may be some similarities, KUF: Crusaders was pretty deep and I expect this one to be too. There is something special about a game when you can use a bit of magic and see meteors shower your opponents or when you set traps and see your enemies flounder in them. I don't remember dynasty warriors having undead, dragons, giant insects, etc... Then again, perhaps I didn't give DW a chance.

That's why I said Xbox because I was pretty sure they had other versions. Their naming conventions are weird but I remember the name Crusaders so you're right I believe (even though there were several KUFs after Crusaders).

I loved the first KUF on Xbox but didn't care for any of the games that came after from the developer. I don't generally care for RTS but this is a different breed of that genre, and the game play was fun. This is supposed to be the 'true' sequel to the first game according to the developers so I'm really looking forward to it.

You may own an Xbox, but you certainly don't own the OS or programs running on it.

All MS is doing is banning people from Live. They aren't bricking the consoles or frying GPUs with killer executables. According to your own statement about messing with the hardware, and that being a federal offense, you're implying the modder is actually the offender.

I just wish they would make all movies available in the Instant section. Instead of making us order a DVD and wait for it, why can't they take the new movies/more popular movies and just make it so that you can only play one of those types of movies once per day? It seems like that would be a good solution as far as licensing goes. My kid watches a ton of Netflix streaming but I occasionally still feel the urge to drive to the video store because I'm in the mood today to watch something speci...

We've heard it all before about how the hackers are going to beat these software companies into the ground but does anyone seriously believe the fight won't continue? If someone broke into your car or house, would you throw your hands up in the air and say enjoy? Hell no (unless you're a pirate and see no problem with giving and taking like that). It's stealing plain and simple. These people are thieves; they know it and brag about it on forums like this. I hope they'll see the irony when som...

The grunting sounds she makes when she's fighting are definitely not hot. But, after considering the author's Sex Logic theory, maybe they are.

Yeah, I don't like to hang on to the souls too long. If I go through a couple of deaths and have built up enough souls, I'll head back to the Nexus to upgrade before a boss. I just can't stand losing that many souls. That said, it's exhilarating to grab your stain when you're fighting a boss but it's a big gamble.

I saw that I could target it but I didn't think it could be killed so soon. I'm not very far in yet and casted a few spells at it but to no real affect. I can't wait to get a bow now; if that's true, you must be able to go back to the hill on the left, clean up on the loot and mess with the other dragon.

You won't win against the dragon here. You just need to be patient and draw some of the guys across the bridge. You'll either kill them when them come over or the dragon will burn most of them. Just keep your shield up and be prepared to run. When you get about half way across, listen for the wings beating or the screaching sounds. When he's close, run like hell back to where you came from. When you only have one or two guys left, you can run past them and be in the clear.

If y...
