As much as I know people will disagree, I actually agree with Army_of_Darkness: This game looks boring.
Well, at least the first 5:30 minutes does. As a person who stills plays through Portal fairly consistantly (attempting to speedrun) the first minute (where you are locked in the room) feels kind of annoying of subsequent playthroughs. I can forgive it because it is only a minute, but I think that over 5 minutes of not allowing to do anything worthwhile goes against Valve&...
edit: How do I delete posts? I made a mistake.
What is wrong with catridges? I have a PSP and a DS and I definitely prefer catridges from the perspective of being both portable and load effecient. The PSP is a great system, but the fact that many developers keep wanting to take up 600mb of space (and about 30 minutes of my time) has been starting to tick me off.
Cartridge size is getting bigger and bigger, there shouldn't be any reason to hate them.
You agree with Pachter on this? Unless I'm missreading the article he's saying that Nintendo shoulld be charging MORE for the 3DS so that the shareholders get more cash!
"okay you say that
but what exactly is american humor"
American humour would be comedy that originates from America, just as British humour would comedy that originates from England.
I fail to see what would be so difficult to understand.
From memory (I could be wrong), but it wasn't that Nintendo didn't want to use CD tech, but rather when they re-examined their contract with Sony, they realised that they were effetively giving Sony the rights o any game that they make with the CD tech. Obviously Nintendo wouldn't want that, so they backed out of the deal.
Once again, I could be wrong though (I remember reading it a LOOOONG time ago), could anyone verify this?)
I'm not much of a PC Gamer (only have a few games), but I think that you've misunderstood some of the points this article makes.
1-You may not mod, but others do. I know that I could never make a map pack, but I've got an extra 12 hours out of Portal by playing Portal:Pro, Portal:Prelude and Portal: The Flash Edition. Great extra values provided for free, curtery of the fans.
2-You aren't stealing the DLC if you are using a PC. Some devs (eg. Valve) pr...
The general gist of the article seemed to be questioning the distance requirements of Kinect. MS says that you need 6feet of space, but aparently some people say that the best experience comes at 13 feet. The problem is that TVs usually have an 'ideal' viewing distance (not too close and not too far) and he was comparing how this distance will fall within the 6-13 feet kinect range.
His conclusion was that Kinect may force you to stand too far away from your TV in ord...
While I do agree that it is a bad/poorly-written review, I do think Bungie should have improved the driving AI. I could understand that they didn't have it perfect in the first game, but this is their fifth attempt.
Overall, I can't wait to get my hands on it, but it would have been awesome if they could fix the AI.
Wait, what?
I can understand being thankful for the PSP, but why on Earth do they say that "Yes, we know the PSP has fallen off the past couple of years, but without this wonderful device, we’d be at Nintendo’s mercy, forced to accept its monopoly on the handheld market and whatever “innovations” (or lack thereof) it produced"
They sound like they are trying to say that Nintendo hasn't innovated the handheld market, which considering the fact th...
To the guys who disagree with CrazyForGames: If you disagree, could you at least state who you believe should be on the list? Sony does have great guys like Ueda and Jaffe, but I don't think that any of them could stack up to guys like Miyamoto or Wright in terms of influence.
Molyneux was (allegedly) threatened by a man with a knife, who went 'insane' after Molyneux wanted him to make "correct" apes (with bits), the idea for correct apes came to him while he was not under the influence of drugs, due to the fact that he thinks he is a "rubbish" game designer.
Oh, and the insane man? He went on to found Media Molecule (LittleBIGPlanet).
it took me a while to understand the insanity of the title as well. (...
Wow, well I knew I'd get disagrees (despite PS3 being my Main console, and looking forward to Move).
All that I'm really saying is that it seems like a bad comparison, they just gloss over the strengths of the other consoles (I don't even have a 360, but even I know that it has better qualities than 'comes with a power cord') all while promoting irrelevant things. For instance, this 'Move vs Stuff' website claims BluRay, PSN and Streaming Movies a...
Does anyone else feel like these comparisons are a bit... off?
I mean, they say that having access to Movies/Games over PSN is something that only the PS3 has; which is true, but MS offers Live and Wii does have the WiiStore (not as fleshed out, but still okay). So that is a very silly comparison. It would be like comparing all of the motion controllers and saying that they Wii comes out on top because it has a WiiSensor Bar, but the others don't.
I get i...
Watch out everyone! There are spoilers in the review!
(what a silly message to have pop up before a game like this)
Valve never said that they were intentionally making one version worse. They said that the PS3 version will be better as it will support some Steam features (auto-updates, saving to cloud, etc), but that doesn't mean that the 360 version's core experience is any different.
And the only reason that they are only doing it on the PS3 (to my knowledge) is because Sony is letting them while MS would rather have a more closed system.
"a Mac isn't a PC"
Actually, all that PC means is 'Personal Computer' so a Mac is indeed a PC.
I think that GoW3 only loaded on the initial start up, as well as when you died. But if were to never die in the game the only load screen would be the one when you start.
I might be wrong though.
OoT was and still is amazing, however game design has evolved over the past 10 years and ignoring 10 years of game design improvements simply to please people with nostaglia googles is stupid.
OoT 3D could be a simple port of a great game, or it could be a whole new experience that beats the original in every way.
I know that if I by OoT 3D and it only offers the same experience I played 10 years ago I'll be very dissapointed in Nintendo.

The original book series was called "Where's Wally". It was localised for the USA (and a few other places) as Waldo.
In most of Europe (and Australia) we call it buy the original name.
