That’s where I am. The graphics are fantastic but I’m not interested at all in the characters or story.
Hogwarts Legacy should have stuck to what other games couldn’t do: Let us be a Hogwarts student. The open world aspect was just like any Ubisoft game.
I still remember listening to that on my way to eat lunch with my wife. They kept talking about TV and I was just asking what about games. Before that I owned Microsoft consoles. After that I’ve always bought Sony.
It is going to struggle to distinguish itself from the Switch. Gonna be Wii U all over again. They need to come out of the gate with a ton of AAA first party games that aren’t rereleases.
If you treat a sizable percentage of your readers like crap and actively vilify them I don’t think you care about feeding the family.
As soon as I started enjoying the remake it created in me a burning, intense hatred for the original. But as I played more I began hating the remake and I immediately felt so much love for the original. But I just read this article and realized I could like both the original and remake. I wish I had read the article before playing.
No map of Japan? That’s not bunduru.
Let’s just get Haunted Chocolatier released first. We still don’t even have a whisper of a release date. And ConcernedApe will probably do updates for HC for a few years. We’re likely nearly a decade away from Stardew Valley 2.
I love SV but I wish he had just moved onto Chocolatier instead of continuing to add to SV. But I think he mentioned it’s therapeutic or something so I can’t be mad. I do highly respect his commitment to his craft.
I felt the same way about 4 and 5. I liked that Nico was a regular guy pulled into doing all of the stuff. Trevor and Michael were pretty much psychopaths but Franklin was an underdog. I like the rags to riches character more than someone who is a psychopath.
I know Driv3r was hated but I liked it. I’d love to see more games like that.
*laughs in perfectly air conditioned house*
Mega Man Legends
Spider-Man 2 was fine. I had fun playing it but it wasn’t that much different than the first. Will I buy a third game? Maybe.
I’m fine with open world if it’s dense and you do back tracking and unlocking different areas/items like RE1 and RE2(police station). But I don’t want a sprawling open world just for the sake of it being open world.
It came out at the perfect time and was completely abandoned save for a couple of small updates. Those months after release could have taken the game to a whole other level but I guess Nintendo wasn’t impressed with the number of active players.
I love the Tales games. Phantasia will always be my favorite. Ironically I felt like as the series progressed the character design became too “anime cliche.”
I know the devs said they didn’t want to make a school sim but it would have made it a better game if it was less an open world game and stuck to Hogwarts and Hogsmede with maybe one small hamlet.
Yep. The castle was so fun. The overworld was just like every other overworld. They should have doubled down on the castle/student stuff.
The game overall was mid.
Wasn’t the combat in the original like fighting under water? And that was the point because it wasn’t a game where fighting made you feel empowered to take on this supernatural world.
I didn’t even finish 3.
