Never had an issue with my Nintendo Pro controllers, Hardly use the Joy cons though granted.
As for the games, pretty rubbish statement. In the past year I've bought more games for the switch than for the ps4 (though the ps4 library in general is far superior granted) and only a small number were ports. When one enjoys JP content (visual novels/RPG's) or party/family games the switch content is very decent.
Nier, Puppeteer, Ni no kuni, Catherine come to mind
"He seems intelligent enough that he could always go back and finish if needed. "
True, but there is a risk involved such a choice.
Studying is best done when young. Less distractions, less pressure ( relative, but when you also have a job and a house to clean, etc , there is more pressure ) , etc.
Its not impossible. Hell , 90 year olds can still get their degrees, but it does take a lot more effort.
Anyway, this guy is doing what most...
"Hopefully AAA titles will be voted heavily on every month. "
If you expect to get new AAA titles every month, get ready to get disappointed.
It's going to be a mix of indi titles and older AAA games most likely, because Sony and developers want to earn money.
This system will be an improvement though. More freedom of choice is a good thing.
Thumbs up for this idea.
People should not complain about people complaining about people complaining. ERRR Take that inception!
"We were talking about FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR. "
Urr no, you were.
I've bought my PS4 for THIS generation gaming, not for this year. But as for this year I expect Dragon Quest and Zestria to be here in the fall, which is good enough for me.
As for your list: Only fire emblem and Xenoblade are of interest to me.
"I will say this, Microsoft has more compelling output for the rest of this year than Sony does. &quo...
Cissnei ( Crisis Core ) should make a brief appearance. :)
Upvoted you for this. I was thinking the same thing. Sega's history with the 32x showed us what happens when you have no clear direction for a console and when rumors about an upcomming system ( in that case saturn ) does to your current sales.
What I expect to be great games:
Persona 5
Final Fantasy 15
Nier
Dragon Quest heroes
Tales of Zestria.
Deus Ex mankind divided
The last Guardian
All and all I expect PS to be the main platform for JRPG and Visual novels. ( even though WiiU does have decent rpg's such as the mentioned Xenoblade and fire emblem )
No, I don't see content winning it for Nintendo this time around.
Blu Ray is next to dead? Good to know.
* continues to play Mumford and sons on vinyl *
The horrible xbox launch was a factor.
But it really is to early to tell if the PS4 is good or not. In the end it all depends on the games.
The 3DS is fairly poor as hardware, but commercially it is a succes. Much of this is due to a rather impressive game library.
The ps4 has been out for a while now, but it has not had the big games yet. Star Ocean, Persona 4, FF XV have yet to come. We've had Dragon age, but have yet to see the new Ma...
First Star Ocean game: 1996
First Xenoblade game: 1998

Better titles than in the article.
Still waiting for Trails in the Sky 2, wondering if it will EVER come to the west though.
I really loved the psp game.
I Recently bought Tokyo ghost hunters and Criminal Girls for the Vita, but even I have to admit that the Vita is mostly dead in the West. If you don't like JP releases it has very little to offer these days.
I've had a pc and console since the early 80's.
( different pc's , different consoles obviously )
Console gaming with friends behind a T.V. is totally different than gaming online with your pc. Its all about preferences.
Sure a decent gaming pc will have more power, but these days who cares? 20 year old gameconsoles still have games that are worth playing.
I have none, but I couldn't care less.
For now my PC will do. Perhaps I'll get a current gen console when I feel like it.
"Mostly because they're not really surging. And that's because they weren't in decline. They did lose some media coverage, but quality hasn't dropped as much as many would like you to believe."
There was a lack of interest in these games mostly caused by Square Enix arrogance.
SE did to the RPG scene what Atari did for the gaming industry as a whole. The FF games did not deliver after FFVIII and nothing really came in its place.

"JRPGs are not surging because the cost of developing one on a home console is now too high for any Japanese studio other than Square Enix to develop for. "
Atlus ( persona series ) and Namco Bandai ( Tales series ) would want to disagree
I'd settle for 2 AAA titles , but I'm not going to put any money on that either....
I really did like my Vita more than my 3DS when it comes to the hardware, but currently it is just collecting dust mostly.
The current vita is still the best way to play handheld games imo. The vita doesn't really need a hardware upgrade. ( though I would love a TV out option )
What the vita really needs is new big titles.
Death Stranding a failure? Based on what?
The game has decent sales. it has decent reviews, though these are very mixed.
I put 60 hours in the game before completing it and the idea's behind it are great. It has a decent soundtrack and nice visuals. Sure it has it flaws, though lack of action that is often named is not on my list of flaws.
Trying to implement decent physics in the game (while walking) but having bouncing trucks on the other hand fee...
