Anyone know scary gamed that are not plunged into total darkness? I used to record videos of horror games, but most of the time we don't see anything due to Youtube codecs that flatten every dark shades.
(I don't consider Resident Evil 5 as a scary game)
Gamekult is one of the biggest gaming professional website in France (behind JeuxVideo.com and JeuxVideo.fr).
They are known to give hard and impartial reviews, yet they are pretty trustworthy (which doesn't mean they are always right or wrong).
Their review scale:
- 5/10: Average.
- 6/10: Good.
- 7/10: Great.
- 8/10 Awesome.
- 9/10: Nearly perfect.
Gamekult is a bit the equivalent of UK's Edge (minus pe...
I'm French and I approve what you all say.
The French part means:
"I'm a third generation AX 400 android, created to be your personal assistant and your intimate partner".
According to one of my followers, the Japanese song is "Sakura Sakura", a traditional folk song:

(the part Kara sings is the second one:
There are two reasons why IP banning is a bad idea:
- First because you may bann an innocent. If you have a network in your house that shares your connection with several computers, then IP banning one of the computers of that network means banning every other ones (because they share the same IP - not local IP - ). So if for example you have a brother that browse N4G as well, if he is IP banned that means you are IP banned as well.
- Secondly because IPs are in majority dy...
I'm a bit disappointed too, I've never liked much SOCOM series, but I respect other people that like that game. I wished it was Motorstorm 3, Syphon Filter, Demon's Souls 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Resistance 3 or Killzone 3.... But SOCOM? Nope, it never crossed my mind.
Here's my translation if you people don't like much Google translations:
"David Cage used his blog hosted at IGN to say what he thinks about certain sites and magazines reviews, including the "two main French video game sites", Jeuxvideo.com (which gave Heavy Rain a 7.5/10) and Gamekult.com (which gave 6/10). To describe those critics works, he uses quite rude words: the mediocrity of the articles, kiddy texts, no analysis, no reflection, no recoil,...
...
It's a matter of mentality. Most of French reviewers tend to consider no game is perfect, thus 19/20 is the maximum score unless the game is exceptional. It's not the case for every French sites but it's mostly like that.
Apparently, the deal is canceled since months.

Here is a proper translation I wrote myself for people that are interested in this interview.

(and no need to agree or disagree, it's not an opinion it's a fact)
It's very tempting but it looks like a filthy scam. Their catalog is short, the site design is not on par with a service that offers hundred dollars jewelry and all their pics are renders.
That's not something to be in confidence.
It's a feeling you may have watching TV shows. When you watch Columbo, you feel like watching a retro movie and there is no suspense as you know at the beginning of every episodewho is the murderer, why he killed the victim and how he did. The only reason you watch Columbo is to know how Columbo will find the murderer.
While if you watch CSI, you have a crime and during all the episode you discover new evidences, new suspects, new motivations and you must gather everything up to ...
Talking about that spider-horse, do we know from which mythological creature it's inspired?
I hate those announcements of announcements. The only thing I hate more is the non-announcement of announcements (cf Cliff Bleszinski and David Jaffe).
But I wouldn't spit onto a new Epic Games game.
In my case it's a matter of developer support. I bought Brütal Legend on Day One even though reviews were mixed, same for Muramasa (awesome game btw), Uncharted 2, Katamari Forever, etc... For other games like Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Street Fighter IV, it was because of the hype machine (even though I regret it), and for others it was a matter of boredom.
But in France, games cost 70 euros, which represent $70 and ultimately it's being very expensive, s...
Team Buddies was a great experience, great concept and awesome multiplayer. I wish Sony would do a remake.
I'm not fond of those real life investigation things, In Memoriam and Home's Xi already burned me half of the brain, I don't want to lose my other part for a simple demo code.
(even if I'm conscious it's a way to be into Heavy Rain atmosphere)
Edit: Oh well, they updated the article. It's a bit unfair but I guess it's better for everyone.
Unfortunately not, I used to have the Gamecube, but I sold it a month after having bought it. My only games on Gamecube were Luigi's Mansion, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and a Bloody Roar.
I actually bought several Naruto games whereas I almost hate Naruto. It's just that CyberConnect 2 did great job with Naruto games and overtook the franchise-based combats from Dragon Ball Z.
And if Naruto Shippuden UNS2 fixes some issues of the first one (lack of online multiplayer, lack of content for the Story mode, lack of cinematic and scenario) then I'll certainly buy it as well.
Gamekult gave Mass Effect a 8/10, and as they consider Mass Effect 2 is not as good as Mass Effect, they couldn't give it a 8 neither a 8.5. So the only way for them to show this is to give it a lower score, in this case a 7 (they couldn't give it a 7.5 or 7.9 as they only score in integers).
For people wondering what is Genzai.fr, it's a small french website that stream animes, mostly Naruto episodes.
