I honestly get that, but hearing how Sony dev kits work I am not worried. I am not mad at Sony decision to go this route, but their wording could have been better. I know some are playing into this and they shouldn't and it also gives fanboys on the other side to through bs at Sony.

To be honest, I am looking at this as a business decision and not a gaming decision. If this pandemic did not happen, would Sony and MS keep the same approach? This is the right call and the fact that the game travels with you when you are ready to upgrade is a plus. Then on top of it you get the enhanced version of the original game if you buy the ultimate edition. With covid; this was the right move.

you do know companies can buy their own product? It happens all the time. so these sales could be attributed to EA buying their own product and distributing to people that have complained or requested a refund. I have seen several tweets where people asked for refunds and EA gave them the refund and a code to get the game for free. So this has nothing to do with 'how many people are playing'.
I assume the reason for this is because EA gave out several free versions of the game.

depends on when you picked up the model. for example the one that i have that is 4k60 has older hdmi. So I may experience lag with the TV if its locked at 4k60. This is something people just need to check. Not saying its bad. For me; I just rather have the option just in case I experience problems. but like @porkChop said it shouldn't be an excuse.

Reading through the N4G articles you posted there was actually 2 article where MS was so called being trashed. The rest mentioned MS decision but didn't trash them. One of the articles you gave was after the MS Halo reveal so it only leaves 1 article that actually gave a negative remark about MS decision before the event and even in that article there was a lot of praises. The last article you posted btw. And they gave a lot of quotes from MS current studio...
