By the way, you can't really use the "12-18 months" excuse here since right now, both consoles are out and the X360 is still outselling the PS3.

I'm getting the X360+Kinect bundle as well (at launch or in December). Mostly for Kinect sports and it's multimedia capabilities.

These are just 1st gen softwares, I'm sure Kinect and it's softwares in general will improve in time.

If even Apple could buy Sony, I'm guessing Micro could as well since they're richer. 50% of Sony's stock (they don't even need that much) is worth less than $36bil and they offered 45bil for Yahoo.
I think no company is interested in Sony right now because they keep bleeding money out of every orifice.
