I have persona 1 & 2 j, it just wasn't in the picture because those games were in my garage at the time I took these pictures. I have almost every single US RPG ever made for the PSOne and some I have two copies of (Greatest Hits). I'll admit though the PSOne era had some of its best RPG's on any console in any generation and I'm lucky to have pick up & played those games.
I'd have to agree with GWAVE guys. FFVII, imo is overhyped, & the massive fanbase it has makes other RPG's seem medicore in their eyes. I can't even say how much I wish FFVII wasn't that successful because Squaresoft pretty much dropped all the other RPG's they were working on or cut their budgets to put out another FF RPG. IMO, I think FFVII is overrated because so many people say it's the best RPG of all time. I understand that this game may have changed the landscape of RPGs and it may have been people's first RPGs but still if you haven't really tried other RPGs then I can say this game isn't the best. I totally agree with you masterblaster except the FFVIII being better. Link to the Past was the best Zelda game, imo and FFVI was better the FFVII.
I have a 22" monitor and game at 1680x1050 with max settings on games like L4D/CS/WCIII/etc. I get 60fps or more. I would never spend no more then $200 on a graphics card thats why I love ATI for their cheap bang for the buck cards. HD4850 512mb ftw!

Thank god for Blizzard and their RTS/MMO games and Valve for their FPS games and Maxxis for the causal games.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't The Sims the most sold franchise of all time and isn't the women who play those games? =P
But I thought the people who buy Wii's are soccer moms, elderly and people who don't even know what games are coming out next for the system. And they buy it because it's more of a party system playing with your friends/family in the same room. And if it's not being played then wouldn't be collect dust until the next family/friends type game comes out next and you have family/friends over.

I agree my $500 custom built pc can run with the best of them considering that I overclocked the CPU/GPU/Memory. But still gotta love those sites with those overprice PC's at least you can see what are the HIGH END parts are in computers today and laugh at the price when you see it cost 1/4 of what they charge. ahaha =)
If there are two games I'm looking forward they would be Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 4. Gotta remember MMO's are still popular on PC because of course all the buttons and hotkeys would be kind of hard on a controller with only like 8-10 buttons. RTS same thing and FPS games too. A controller IMO cannot replace a good keyboard and mouse. =)
Lol I was on the Falcon Northwest site just building a computer just for fun and I laugh at how much it was to upgrade the VGA card to a ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB, it was $400. LMAO, seriously it cost me only $150 on newegg to get one and took me less then 15-20 to install and get the updated drivers.

I'd have to agree with that statement. Vista is a resource hog, I bought a laptop with Vista Home 64-bit on it. My Vista uses 1.64GB of memory out of the 4Gig memory stick thats in there while XP in my desktop uses 841MB out of the 3GB that is in there and honestly IMO I feel like it runs faster then Vista. My laptop cost me $650 with vista while my desktop cost me $500 with XP.

Most of my rigs are overclocked. The one I'm using right now I overclocked the CPU, GPU, and Memory to a point where I can get the best performance with the added stability all for under $500. I never spent no more then $500 when I'm building a rig from the ground up. Why spend $1xxx or $2xxx money on a computer that you can build yourself for cheaper and perform on par if not better then the expensive counterpart plus tech moves faster and gets cheaper so that $2xxx in 6 months would cost ab...

Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross/Trigger basically any SQUARESOFT or ENIX game that came out during or before the PSone era. NOT SQUARE ENIX!

PC Gaming isn't dead as you make it sound. It still is very popular platform to play on. RTS and MMO are still popular on the PC (WoW, Warcraft 3, Spore, ETC)including FPS like Counterstrike & Left 4 Dead, not to mention the new Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 coming out in 2009. The only companies sucessful on the PC are Blizzard, Valve, and Maxis and Esenmble was one of those companies before they closed down with their AOE and AOM games
People want mindless shooters with MP tag on. People are too spoiled these days to enjoy the SP only or new IP experience.
Awesome Game. I bought pre-ordered mines off steam and i played for 5 hours straight. The game is huge & epic and I especially love the naval battles it looks so detail. I've played lot of RTS (Warcraft/Starcraft/Command & Conquer/Dawn of War/Company of Heros/) and I must say that the Total War Series is the fun RTS I've played ever but it's very complex for beginners.
