Sony owns the SOCOM IP. The trademark is up for renewal June 22, 2016. Sony can do what they please with SOCOM. Hoping for a multiplayer announcing of some sort, this is the first time in 3 years Yoshida has talked SOCOM. Looks like Yosp has done his research too.
What I do not get is why they did not say anything about PSX being about Indie games in the past, they just announced it the day of PSX after the backlash that happened. I wonder how many would of actually went to PSX knowing it was about Indie titles or how many would of viewed the keynote.

If they would of announced that PSX was meant for indie titles and the major announcements are at e3 and Paris Games Week, you know the sales of PSX would of been halved and the view count
I am not paying 300 Dollars for PSVR and however much more for those PSMove devices he was using just to "experience it myself", lol that was a failure of a demo. PSX was a tragedy and they covered it up by saying "PSX was always meant for indies." lol if they would of said that before PSX even started, you know the sales of tickets and the viewers would of been way down.

Happy 12 years to SOCOM 2 today. Nov 4th, 2003 was the day the gaming industry changed. Still to this day I play s2 online through xlink with my friends on LAN. I need this game on Ps4. SOCOM saved lives, this game made history. It was the starter of gamebattles and the competitive scene and no game has stood up to it since. No other game is as perfect as SOCOM 2 was and none will ever be, this game needs a direct port with online to PS4. Get it done Sony. Schedule your tweet!
This is huge click-bait, graphics are never a big deal nor a sell point. If the game plays good then it is worth the purchase.
We all have been pushing for a SOCOM Remaster for well over 5 years now. Make it happen SONY we have been doing big things this year to get noticed and it has been paying off! With the mentions from Shahid Kamal the Strategic Content Manager and Gio Corsi the man running the #BUILDINGTHELIST campaign. We now have voted SOCOM 2 the top PS2 game of its Era. If that is not saying 'Remaster this game with Online', I do not know what will convince SONY. We are still going to persevere, but...
that's the game name I was trying to think of, they did bring that game back to ps4...with online. they can do the same to SOCOM 2! and should do the same!
