I suppose it depends if you want the newest of the new, and if you can afford it. 3D has been around for quite a while with DLP, and made it's way to plasma thanks to samsung. My 42"in 3D ready T.V. made in 2009 was only 675$ so if you were to get a T.V. it isn't necessarily going to be over priced.
in short... no that laptop will not be very good for gaming. It may be able to run the game on lower settings, but the low processor speed really makes it poor for gaming.
However, the laptop does have more than the recommended amount of ram for the game and the integrated graphics is pretty descent.
here are the recommended settings for the game.
Minimal system requirements: The Sims 3
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (PC)
• CPU: Pentium 4 ...
Now this is the type of journalism I like. The article stayed focused on the events and didn't show bias. Solid info on e3 FTW ^_^
Anyone watch the trailer that was added today from eurogamer? It is way awesome.

you guys do know that there are t.v. out there already that are 3d ready. From what I understand of it you just plug in the wireless glasses to the back of the T.V. and it converts your video games to 3d. They are the new DLP tvs from Texas Instruments

Please correct me if i'm wrong about the televisions... bu...
Its hard to believe that it would be faster than xp but we wont know till its benchmarked more. I'm pretty excited about windows 7 actually hopefully its less of a system hog than vista.
O.K. I can understand you like linux... you are obviously a fan. There is no need to triple post though. Back your S*** up if you want to trash talk. I like windows because it is much more user friendly then linux and I am a GAMER. THIS IS A GAMING WEBSITE REMEMBER.

I have nothing against linux and would actually like to see a competitor to M$ and OSX isnt really suitable for gaming either
Sweet. All I can say
I think the layout looks nice... plus it appears to have an easy way to incorporate cymbals ^^
I thought the open zone was for the uber fanboys that cant seem to get the picture that you dont have to be disrespecful. What I say is just IMHO
One thing thats kinda nit picky for me with the 360 is Themes!!! Why make users pay 6.25 for a theme pack?
oh yeah forgot Star Wars: Force unleashed
Either way 2008 through early 2009 is going to be amazing for gamers exclusive or not. Ps3 and Xbox 360 owners are both getting Bioshock (confirmed by EGM),GTA4, SF4, DBZ: Burst Limit, Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, SC4, RE5 (whenever that comes out), Grid, Burnout Paradise, etc. etc. Which is good for those who dont have multiple platforms. ^^
Great I finally got a lil more info about this game after all the trailers on psn. Not sure if the game is gonna be awesome but it looks ok.
Your completely right... speaking of dvd's scratching easily maybe some consumers may make the jump because Blue Ray Disks are so hard to scratch... Plus in 2009 most will be making the switch from SD to HD
This game makes me want to rewatch the series its to bad the game is over at the cell saga.
I definitly disagree with you... have you played any of the previous mgs series? So far mgs4 looks amazing! Also are you forgeting that sony has a couple of other heavy hitters such as Resistance 2 (From insomniac so it surely wont disapoint)in September and Little Big Planet (Alows great creativity through the use of user generated content) releases october. I dont know if NG2 will be amazing but I hope it will be because I am a fan of the series but we will never know whats going to happe...
I'm using a Samsung 245BW 24-inch Widesceen LCD. Anyone else using one? I highly suggest it I got mine hooked up to my pc and ps3 and it works flawlessly. 1080p for the win :) even better is I got it for only $300
Can't wait for a release date on this game will get it first day of release for sure. Does anyone have any more info on the cg movie?
This commercial should be on T.V.! I think it would do really well ^_^
