yeah, the whole game felt weirdly organic despite the fact that it was all set in cities and on an airship.
Or maybe I'm one of the few reviewers who actually USE the full spectrum of scores. I score games all over the board so not everything out there gets an 8+ score. I reserve that for the truly outstanding games, not the merely 'good' games, which fill up everything from 6.0-7.9.
Dragon's crown is a 'Good' Game, but it's too short to be a 'great' game. Far too repetitive, as well.
@Thirty3Three
No it doesn't. have you played it? I doubt it, since it's not out. I have.
Indeed I have. My name is Gordon Bryant, the one who wrote this review.
yeah, if you play through it six times to get the experience of all the different characters. I Can say that about any game with multiple character classes.
Dungeon Defenders is a game that has 4 character classes and 13 levels, and it's only 15 bucks. Comparison much?
but it's all so very repetitive.
at least your disagreement was respectable.
And the presentation encompasses the graphics, audio, story, and UI. the 80's aesthetic was good and the graphics were pretty decent sprites, but the audio was some of the worst ever and the story was a huge disappointment, even with the hidden ending.
The mechanics are solid...on the PC. movement and aiming is flawless with a PC and mouse, but on the Vita it seems finicky. the respawn mechanic is awesome,...
Like I said in the reveiw, I think what I have to say is more important than the score. Everything I said, sans my absolute hatred for the soundtrack, is in line with what other people said, the difference being that I found it more frustrating than rewarding. More annoying than addicting.
Same game, same observation, but I just don't see how people can like it.

And to prove this isn't just spam, I have to say, seriously?
I am neither paranoid nor dimwitted. I just don't trust companies that treat me with such disrespect.
please stop talking, headblackman. You're drunk on fanboy rage.
Making a bad decision is one thing.
Making a decision that actively takes away the consumer's rights is another whole issue.
And the Xbox doesn't have a particularly strong exclusive lineup outside of XBLA, the features are hidden behind a pay wall, Xbox Live is nothing special, etc.
Your arrogant demeanour and Master Chief avatar show that you're a fanboy.
I hate having to use that word.
Some people are devout. I'm not sure about what the social phenomenon is called, but humans have a natural tendency to gravitate towards what they're familiar with or what their social peers are doing. The Xbox 360 was popular not because it was good (the console had astronomically high rates of failure), but because Sony's console was far too expensive and had nothing to offer.
That's why the mobs were so aggressive, they NEEDED to convince not only other...
If they implement DRM after claiming no DRM is possible, then that's worthy of an "Other OS" type lawsuit. I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.
They really are. Here's hoping they take this momentum right into the next generation of consoles. As it stands, the PS4 is looking like the best option for living rooms, and unless there's a huge change come E3, that is unlikely to change.
I'm kinda curious, myself. Especially considering how few exclusives have come out on Xbox recently. since 2011, we've got two Gears of War games, two Forza games, and a Halo game. that's pretty much it.
ah well, This news breaking right after the hilariously bad XBox One reveal is gonna do some damage to Microsoft, who is looking to be #3, two generations in a row.
I knew it would happen some day. I didn't think it would until after the next generation was in full swing and Xbox 360 support dropped off.
props to Sony. good job.
Truth be told, I can't think of any site that's particularly good. gamrReview is no different from any other publication, big or small, in my experience.
And in my time online I've come to learn that for some reason all media-centric journalism is considered a joke, so it wouldn't matter what the case, there'd be no pleasing you.
I'm looking at mention of 'core' gamers, but really, I just like playing games.
Nintendo has always been good giving casuals great games to enjoy while also making their output good for the core gamers as well. Look at smash Brothers, as an example.
Sony has always been balanced, with a blend of bland gray FPS games like Killzone and Resistance, and the more colorful and toony platformers like LittlebigPlanet and Ratchet and Clank.

Clearly you've never, ever been a game reviewer.
